A hidden eatery in a forgotten mall and we're surprised by the food's standards. This was quite good, given my high expectations. A tad too spicy.

A hidden eatery in a forgotten mall and we're surprised by the food's standards. We didn't expect this to be so big. Quite good.

Rice is soft, fluffy & infused with pineapple taste; opted for chicken which came with generous portion of tender chicken fillet; came with raisins & meat floss..

Prawn patty is firm, moist & lightly seasoned; topped with 3 small shrimps & thinly breaded then deep-fried till crisp; paired well with the sweet Thai chilli sauce at the side..

Green mango tossed with peanuts, crispy battered ikan bilis, onions & chilli; not spicy but taste 1-dimensional towards sweet side & lack of shrimp taste..

Glass vermicelli is soft, springy & infused with garlic & ginger aroma; came with 5 medium-sized tiger prawn which are fresh & firm; good for sharing..

Meat is infused with the aromatic sauce & well-braised till tender; pork skin is soft & chewy; paired well with the tangy & spicy chilli; braised peanuts are soft with slight crunch; came with baby kailan; worth a try..

I'm back once again at @87justthaikilliney, and although the food is decent, it was not as good as my previous experience unfortunately. Food portions seemed to have decreased slightly too!

The last time I had the Black Olive Fried Rice with Minced Chicken ($9) the portion was quite abit bigger, but at least the quality stayed constant. The wok hei is strong in this one, although the black olive taste seemed to have been overpowered. Still a solid fried rice to get with its individual grains!

The Honey Chicken ($9) was quite tasty with a slightly crispy exterior and meaty insides. The sweet and savoury blend definitely worked.

The Deep Fried Chicken with Garlic ($9) wasn't really garlicky, but at least it was crispy, tender and flavourful. Unfortunately it isn't as meaty anymore though.

The Deep Fried Sliced Fish with Thai Chilli Sauce ($17) turned out to be overly expensive with its portion, especially when the fish slices were quite thin. The Thai Chilli Sauce was not the usual kind, and was abit too sour in my opinion!

It can still be an affordable option in someset, though I wouldn't go out of my way to come here anymore!

Now this is one hidden gem in town you need to go to! Despite being located just a stone throw away from orchard central, the prices, quality and portions were all really good 😍 Here were some of my favourites:

Deep Fried Chicken with Garlic ($8.50) - this is one of the best renditions I've had from a Thai restaurant. The batter was light and crispy, and the chicken inside stayed really moist and flavourful. This was extremely addictive 😍

Deep Fried Sliced Fish with Sweet and Sour Sauce ($16) - the fish slices were flaky and super crispy 😍 absolutely loved the sauce as it was tangy, making it not too surfeiting. A very good dish to order to share!

Olive Fried Rice ($8.50) - I loved how the rice was not clumpy and filled with savoury fermented olive flavour and some smokiness. The portion was pretty huge so you can order this to share!

All the dishes ordered were hits 🥹 I can't believe I only know of this place now! Definitely coming back to try other dishes 😍

My umpteenth visit to Pratunam! Because they have affordable and tasty food!

This is what we ordered this time round:
-Signature Dry Tom Yum Noodle ($8.90+)
-Signature Basil Minced Pork Rice ($9.90+)
-Lemongrass Lime ($3.50+)

Love the springy noodles and spicy basil minced pork!

Thai food is really my comfort food!

This fried rice matched the authenticity in Thailand so I approve. But the thinly sliced pork was too dry.
