We ordered Ooh La La Mala โLa Zi Guโ ($23), which substitutes chicken with king oyster mushroom. This is spicy, numbing and very addictive.
Thai Sweet & Sour Delight ($21) features mushrooms and pineapples coated in a sweet and tangy sauce - this is pretty appetising.
If you are an eggplant lover like me, you do not want to miss the Sambal Eggplant ($19) - the spicy belacan sauce and juicy eggplant were a heavenly match.
The โmeatโ of the Penang Rendang ($26) is made from Shiitake mushroom and the rich rempah packed a punch.
We ordered Signature Olive Rice ($12 small / $17 medium), Fragrant Chestnut Rice ($16 small / $22 medium) and Signature X.O. Rice ($16 small / $22 medium), and each of them was packed with so much flavour and wok hei. The olive rice was my favourite - you can really taste the olives and it was so aromatic. Their rice stole the show!
Dearborn warrants a second visit. THIS WEEK. Just for their seasonal ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ฅ๐ฅ granola. Crunchy and freshly-baked with maple syrup to give a warm caramel flavour. It's not too sweet, but rather light and refreshing๐, littered with whole pistachio nuts. I recommend pairing it with ๐๐๐๐๐-๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ฅฅ This bowl costs $9, but imo you are paying for quality and the novelty!
Seating is outdoors (fans are provided) and pet-friendly so you might see cute doggos๐คฉ๐ฅบ
As for the beverages, the tea leaves are obtained from traditional tea wholesalers from Japan. Amongst the many teas, the ๐ฌ๐๐ธ๐ถ ๐ ๐ฎ๐๐ฐ๐ต๐ฎ ๐๐ฎ๐๐๐ฒ is a thick glass of freshly-whisked matcha layered with soy milk. Though slightly sweet by default, matcha lovers can explore a non-sugar version upon request.

Unlike the typical waffles made with butter and fresh milk, the ones here use cinnamon and oat milk, making the texture more airy and uniquely fragrant. Paired with level 3 matcha gelato, the most intense and bitter tasting of the matcha levels, the sweetness is better balanced out with every bite.
