It's a balance meal on a bowl, filled with tasty brown and white rice topped with lots of fresh salads, spicy salmon and original tuna, topped with cherry tomatoes, and fish roe, garnished by sweet pineapple chunks. Lovely on the eyes and on my tummy. Will come back for more
This stall is at a ulu corner on the 2nd floor of Berseh Food Centre. FIND IT. BUY IT. DEVOUR IT. It's like the gooey addictiveness of orh luak encased in a crispy (not very greasy) UFO shell. Every oyster cake will be fried on the spot, so just patiently wait for your reward of a piping hot orh luak cake.
Squid Ink Rice, Garlic, Mentaiko Mayo, sous-vide egg and PH Fried Chicken. The successor of the Kimchi Fried Rice, the 黑rice feels very much like the local fried rice despite how it looks, complete with wok hei that's all wonderful when you mix in the mentaiko mayo and sous-vide egg (you would have to crack the egg shell to get it out). Fried chicken was also satisfyingly crisp and juicy, a good match to the squid ink rice. One of the favourite dishes at the table.
Homemade Squid Ink Spaghetti, Greenland Shrimps, Baby Squid, Fish Crumbs and Calamansi. An umami bomb I would say, right from the squid ink pasta and all the way to the fish crumbs which were twined within — each strand has a good level of savouriness that just adds to the dish's flavour profile for a slight crunchy, garlicky and saltiness similar to fried fish skin. You would probably love this if you are one who can't resist slightly heavier flavours like me!
From Paddy Hills' new menu, luscious blue swimmer crab meat in a soft squid ink bun topped with lots of tobiko—just the way we like it. Comes with a side of kimchi slaw and fries. Plus a dollop of wasabi mayo is provided if you're adventurous, but we thought it didn't need it. Definitely a must try if you're visiting Paddy Hills!

The enormously filling buttery, fluffy pancakes, which stored a steaming, 8.15am MRT train passenger-esque rage deep within, provided eggy French toast comfort whilst elsewhere the Bavarian cream was a sugary vanilla ice cream and whipped cream love child. 3.8/5

Pretty much everyone has heard about Nakhon kitchen, be it for their cheap good Thai food or their horrendous long queues. However for the number of people in line, the wait was relatively not that long. Food wise, it was pretty great for the price, with each dish coming up to $6 or so. The phad thai tang hoon was the winner for me. It was something different from the usual phad thai, and the glass noodles were just so good. I really liked the fried pork with garlic - then again you can never go wrong with this dish. The Tom yum soup with coconut milk was interesting, but I still prefer the original I think. All in all, a pretty good meal that's definitely worth it's price, that is, if you're willing to wait it out.
This is a must-try dish when you visit Nakhon! It is sooooo good that you will see this dish appearing on almost every table. The meat are well marinated and the juices are sealed underneath the pandan leaves. It tasted abit like nonya style + chicken satay 》4Pcs @ $6
So satisfying and bursting with a cacophony of sweet, sour and spicy flavours, i can understand why this neighbourhood Thai restaurant attracts snaking queues everyday. Prices are wallet-friendly and a mere 5min drive away (for me!).
Don't miss this! It is so fresh and so yummy! (5/5)
I used to live near Yong's and my family would head over for breakfast every other weekend. The queue during weekday mornings can get pretty torturous. Most customers in front of us were getting boxes and boxes of kuehs- it was no surprise to see customers walking away with 2 big bags (at least 8 boxes of 6 kuehs each) at a time and there were times we would wait for almost half an hour before it was finally our turn. I remember watching these customers happily walk away with their orders while I nervously waited for my turn, wondering if this cabbage kueh would run out. Sometimes I would be disappointed, but there were also times where I was rewarded with steaming hot and fresh cabbage kueh- wholesomely filled with veggies, mushroom and haebee. Easily one of my favourite kuehs in the world. #hawkerpedia
