Foodies may know this Japanese-fusion hot spot in Sri Petaling for their killer ramen, but also good are the rice bowls. First-timers, go for the Lucky Salted Fish Pork Patty bowl (RM23.80) featuring a thick slab of pork patty with distinct salted fish flavours, accompanied by fried egg drizzed with soy sauce. Another tasty option is the Lucky Smoked Duck bowl (RM23.80) with juicy and melt-in-your-mouth meat drizzled with sweet garlic aioli. Wrap your meal up with a glass of refreshing cocktail, such as the Ju Hua Tai (RM21.80), a sake-based concoction of chrysanthemum and lemon juice.

Phew this was a heavy one. Another walk down the memory lane with this bowl. Thick pork patty with a good balance of flavours.
Tried to figure out how to consume the seaweed in a civil manner and ended up wrapping the leftover yolk-coated rice with it.

Japanese-Chinese fusion rice bowl, I would say.
Runny fried egg with a dash of soy sauce, smoked duck, and garlic aioli over warm rice.
Simple but delicious combination.
Had some nostalgic flavours in the rice, reminds me of the good ol’ times back in my kampung!

Ordered this sweet concoction to sip on while we wait for our meal. Tasted like canned coconut water and watermelon syrup..?
A little too sweet for me and tasted artificial :(

For your next adventurous foodie night out, look to this trendy spot for twists on traditional ramen, cocktails and more. Helmed by the folks of now-defunct Ru Di Fook, you can trust these noodle experts will dish up something good. Burppler Carmen Chan comes for the King Of Pork Chop Ramen (RM29.80) brimming with chewy noodles, savoury tonkotsu broth and a massive, tender tomahawk that she recommends sharing with a friend. Burppler Joey likes to pair this ramen with a side of addictive KungFu Mushroom (RM14.80). Wash the meal down with one of their house cocktails, like the creamy and chocolatey Keep Calm (RM26.80) with dark rum.

The traditional definition of ramen takes a twist in Super Ramen. There’s a variety of different noodle/rice bowls in their menu and some with influences from local delicacies like laksa. The Pork Broth Ramen with tomahawk (RM29) is what I came here for. The tomahawk is very surprisingly tender, the meat wasn’t tough at all. But it was heavily seasoned with Cajun seasoning which didn’t blend well with the Japanese tonkatsu ramen. The tomahawk was huge though, so you might want to share that with a friend. The ramen itself was decent, but didn’t stand out to me. The yuzu and passion fruit (RM13) drink was refreshing.

The traditional definition of ramen takes a twist here at Super Ramen. I came for the Pork ramen with tomahawk (RM29) and the tomahawk was surprisingly very tender. But it was heavily seasoned with Cajun seasoning and didn’t lend well to the Asian ramen flavours. The broth was decent. I also had the yuzu passion fruit mocktail (RM13) as well - no taste of yuzu but still was a very refreshing drink.

One of my favourite snack from Super Ramen.

Deep fried mushrooms are best paired with two different sauces that was provided. Usually order this alongside my mains (the ramen) and this is good for sharing.

Why I love them because it’s not exactly oily and it’s just very very addictive. Reminds me of the Taiwan snack but it has a little twist to it.

Super Ramen has finally launched their lunch menu which is available daily from 12pm to 3pm.

Those dishes on the lunch menu aren’t available on the regular ones, and fret not the price are more reasonable, ranging from RM16++ to RM20++

Be sure to try those, if you’ve tried almost everything on the regular menu like I did.

If you didn’t know, Super Ramen was rebranded from Ru Di Fook. It’s just noooooodless all day err day because the owners love noodles.

The signature dish here at Super Ramen has to be none other than “King of Pork Chop”. Just look at the size of pork chop 😍😍

I usually pair my ramen with small bites, and my favorite will be this Kungfu Mushroom. Always a best combo but the varieties are great as well.

Try out the lunch menu for food prices at a more reasonable price. You won’t regret trying this and I definitely prefer this over the overpriced ramen out there.

Fatty beef cut with spicy BBQ sauce on a bed of mash. Use entertainer for 1-1 offer 😃

Salmon not cooked well, as the inner part are still very very cold and huge chunk of uncook-ness. Spaghetti’s tasted alright. Use entertainer for 1-1 deal.
