For those staying around Taman Jurong should probably familiar with the shop named Ice Cream Man and Friends that used to located inside Taman Jurong Shopping Centre.

I been there before when they still serving proper foods. They had since closed down and focus mainly on ice cream offerings with a kiosk at Botanic Garden now.

Located near to Bukit Timah gate, this dog friendly ice cream shop is a perfect spot to grab some cooling dessert after your activities at the park.

Aaawwwwww, this is so sweet and thoughtful โ€” ็ฆ [Blessings] latte art โ˜•๏ธ prepared by the cafe owner.

It has been nearly 3 years, since I last visited Time Table Cafe. This was my favourite lunch spot and the only cafe within walking distance from the previous location of my workplace.

Side note: My drink is just plain warm water. This is obviously for my mum since Iโ€™m a non-caffeine drinker.

A hidden vegetarian restaurant located just a short walk from Lakeside MRT Station, a very calm space as you enter and greet by the calm music.

Serving mostly Asian style of vegetarian food and they also have special items for every different days.

The nyonya rice only available on every Friday. Comes in a decorated presentation with naturally coloured rice in blue. Accompanied with hash brown, cracker, soup, cherry and cucumber. I would say it is a comfortable meal to go with.

Every meal here also served with a plain water and fruit.

Instantly transported to the carefree days of sipping on a leisurely cuppa on the shores of ๐˜พ๐™ง๐™ค๐™ฃ๐™ช๐™ก๐™ก๐™– ๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡บ , @surreyhillsgrocer.sg has definitely brought laidback Australian vibes to our sunny shores! ๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฌ

๐™๐™ก๐™–๐™ฉ ๐™’๐™๐™ž๐™ฉ๐™šโ˜•๐Ÿฅ› - Showcasing a smooth blend of perfectly steamed milk which accentuated the notes of ๐™Ž๐™ฌ๐™š๐™š๐™ฉ ๐˜ฝ๐™š๐™ง๐™ง๐™ž๐™š๐™จ๐Ÿ’ & ๐˜พ๐™๐™ค๐™˜๐™ค๐™ก๐™–๐™ฉ๐™š ๐Ÿซ, this was easily one of the best cups of ๐™๐™ก๐™–๐™ฉ ๐™’๐™๐™ž๐™ฉ๐™š I've had in SG. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿปโค๏ธโค๏ธ

๐™ˆ๐™–๐™œ๐™ž๐™˜๐Ÿช„ - Packs a punch, not surprising given that the Milk:Coffee ratio is a lot lower than a regular ๐™‡๐™–๐™ฉ๐™ฉ๐™š or ๐™๐™ก๐™–๐™ฉ ๐™’๐™๐™ž๐™ฉ๐™š. The notes of ๐™Ž๐™ฌ๐™š๐™š๐™ฉ ๐˜ฝ๐™š๐™ง๐™ง๐™ž๐™š๐™จ๐Ÿ’were less obvious in the ๐™ˆ๐™–๐™œ๐™ž๐™˜ compared to the ๐™๐™ก๐™–๐™ฉ ๐™’๐™๐™ž๐™ฉ๐™š, but if you like your coffee strong, this is a perfect cuppa for the road! ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿปโ˜•โ˜•

Surprisingly, the star of this dish turned out to be the ๐™‹๐™š๐™ฅ๐™ฅ๐™š๐™ง๐™จ ๐™๐™š๐™ก๐™ž๐™จ๐™ ๐ŸŒถ๏ธ! (If you look past the kinda soggy side which the ๐™๐™š๐™ก๐™ž๐™จ๐™ was sitting on). Prob not worth the price tag for ๐™๐™š๐™ก๐™ž๐™จ๐™ and bread though, so won't be ordering this dish again, but defo will be back for coffee runs!!! ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธโ˜•โค๏ธโค๏ธ

Salmon Premium (S$32+)

Note ๐Ÿ“ : Got service charge, outdoor dining area

This western joint is located in super ulu part of Singapore, near the Benoi industrial sector, inside Dโ€™Arena Club.

On a Sunday evening at 6.30pm, we managed to get a table immediately. The place is pet friendly but seriously some pet owners need to get a handle on their excitable pets for the sake of other patrons.

We ordered their Salmon ($28) and Crab Spaghetti ($29). The salmon came plated on a bed of barley. It was pan fried just nice, with a hint of pink at the center. The barley tasted like it was boiled in mushroom broth.

The crab spaghetti was a tad sweet and not spicy enough for me. The crab meat was more a mixture of meat in chilli crab sauce. The noodles were al dente enough but overall the dish was lacking in terms of flavours. Just sweet.

Nice to get a different experience in Jurong area but a little bit expensive.

The Singapore Chilli Crab Spaghetti is limited. It uses housemade Rempah, fresh crab meat lump, farm mizuna greens and is topped with salmon roe. The spaghetti texture was not too tough and not too soft, I should say. For some who do not take spicy, this dish is a tad on the spicy side.

Love the aesthetics of this neighbourhood ice cream shop, with the carnival themed decor and ice cream character graphics. Cosy space for a sweet treat in the West.

The buttermilk waffles was served warm with a crisp exterior. The use of buttermilk made it more flavourful and moist, but on the denser and cake-y side. Enjoyable in smaller portions but a tad too heavy on the palette; wished it was more fluffy and airy (although this probably comes down to personal preference). Also would have preferred if the generous drizzle of maple was optional/ kept to the side, although glad that it wasnโ€™t too sweet.

Was tough making a choice among the 28 flavours but went with the recommended hazelnut. The ice cream was thick, creamy, and somewhat stretchy. Had distinct nutty flavour but did feel that the big chocolate chunks overpowered the hazelnut at times.

Served on a bed of mushroom barley grains with marinated roes. Flavours are light and easy to eat. Texture is good for kids too~

Huge serving portion!! With seasoned mashed avocado, wippaed ricotta, vegemite emulsion. Taste is super, unlike the usual western avocado toast. Worth the try!!

Tired of crowds and the buzzzz of town?
Then you should come visit SHG.
The food portion is huge, so worthy of price.
Love their ice cream - I ordered the pistachio one and the taste was rich!
