preferred the boneless beef short prime rib in soy sauce marinade over the black pork belly. the service was incredible they kept changing our grill and helped us cut the pork belly even tho they were super busy

I also tried Dry Ramen with Grilled Beef ($17.90). The grilled rib eye is tender and the Korean ramen is thick and chewy. This is tasty and not too salty - reminds me of Jjapaguri with steak as featured in the Korean movie Parasite (which I attempted to recreate during Circuit Breaker😂).

The Okonomiyaki Fries ($9.90) definitely exceeded my expectations. The freshly fried shoestring fries are drizzled in okonomiyaki sauce, mayo and bonito flakes - this is crispy and soooo delicious! Definitely something I will re-order again.

Gui’s Premium Rice Box ($18.90) features a dosirak (Korean lunch box) packed with marinated squid, stir fried Korean fishcake, luncheon meat, kimchi, seaweed, a sunny side up, picked radish and rice. I gave the lunchbox a good shake and everything is mixed together into a delicious bilbimbap. The portion is very generous and this is one satisfying lunchbox!

Went to GUI 2 weeks ago and ordered their Mentaiko Fries ($9.90), Dosirak Rice Box ($15.90), Dalgona Honeycomb Coffee ($9.90), and a Matcha Latte ($5.50)😇 Overall ratings 8/10! Food was pretty good but not impressed with the drinks🤧 Wished there was more mentaiko on the fries too but the Rice Boxes were good💯 May head back next time to try other mains!

Recently went to Cafe Gui to get a quick coffee fix, but although it looked good, unfortunately it was decent at most 🥲

The Iced Latte ($6) was topped with milk foam, but sadly the coffee and milk ratio was off. The coffee flavour itself was faint though fragrant and there was just too much milk. I wished it tasted as good as it looked!

Their Signature Dalgona Honeycomb Coffee ($9.90) was also a disappointment, as although the coffee taste was more prominent in this one, the honeycomb tasted burnt. It was sweet but almost bitter! Really not worth the huge price tag as well 😅

Honestly would skip the coffee here 😶‍🌫️

This Korean restaurant has been in Chinatown along Temple Street for many years and this is actually my first time coming in here, after finding out that they offered valuable lunch set during weekdays.

For now, it is only $9.90+ and there’s many choices to choose from.

I went for the Jja Jang Myeon, where you find generous portion of the thick sauce made of chunjang and diced pork on the top of the noodles.

You will need to mix everything together with the vegetables also. The taste wasn’t too overwhelmed and I pretty much enjoy the taste.

Beside the foods here, I would recommend to try some of the desserts as well.

Although I must admit the price is a bit higher considering the portion for me. But well everything is at a higher cost now.

The hojicha pudding has a very strong in the flavour, sweet but not too overwhelming.

Interestingly I’m the only guy here when I came with my female colleagues, and I can see why they are so excited about this place.

They are all attracted to the merchandises selling here with cat design. Yes, perhaps you can find this shop is surrounded with cat paintings!

They also served their popular Korean-Japanese style of food with wide selection of drinks.

This was mentioned as their best seller. The dosirak rice box comes with luncheon meat, sunny side up, stir fried kimchi with pork and seaweed rice; contain within this traditional tinted rice box.

It was surprisingly delicious, enjoyable to eat them. The kimchi is flavourful for me and match well with the rice.

This is similar to a strawberry shake and it wasn’t too sweet too. Good for non alcoholics.

I love this fruity yuzu so-maek too! Such a nice after dinner chill out vibe here at Kreams! Good for families too!

This is really lovely to have after dinner! And the ambience… four seasons! Awesome!
