Kozen Sushi Bar impresses with its elegant décor, warm lighting, and tranquil ambience, making it perfect for intimate dinners or special occasions.

The meal began with the Tokujo Nigiri Platter, featuring aged sashimi that melted in the mouth. The accompanying Torotaku Maki added a delightful crunch, perfectly complementing the delicate fish.

Two distinct chawanmushi followed. The Scallops + Snow Crab Chawanmushi stood out with its silky, custard-like base and natural seafood sweetness—a refined and luxurious dish.

The rice bowls were equally impressive. The Kozen Don was a vibrant medley of flavors and textures, while the Lobster Toro Don delivered rich, buttery toro paired with sweet, tender lobster, creating a truly indulgent experience.

The yakitori selection was a delightful showcase of grilled perfection. Highlights included the earthy, smoky Shiitake Mushroom, the savory Asparagus with Bacon, the juicy Tori Momo, and the sweet-savory Buta Tomato Maki. The tender, lightly seasoned Mune rounded out the set beautifully.

We ordered a Premium Sushi Set Lunch for $55 - a decent price tag for high quality, fresh and flavourful sushi. We particularly enjoyed the aburi selections in the set. Both aburi items were slathered with just the right amount of complementary sauces that brought out the fatty fishes’ flavours. The tamago was prepared just how we liked it - somewhat savoury, yet somewhat sweet, a delightful palette cleanser in the middle of the sushi course. An excellent experience overall with polite staff as well.

TRUFFLE UNI Pasta (S$55)
トリュフ
cold angel hair pasta with sea urchin, caviar, salmon roe and shaved truffle
That rich creamy sea urchin so shiok.

TOKUSEN MAGURO DON (S$65)
特選まぐろ丼
assorted tuna sashimi (ootoro, chutoro, akami, chopped tuna) over sushi rice
The tuna was sinfully fatty.

One of the seafood based dishes at Fleurette’s degustation menus. One thing different this time around was that they introduced Mizayaki Beef as an add on ($98 per 100g) to the $228 menu’s cost. 🤭

Fleurette does Asian inspired Fish dish of the night. Believe it was anago? Could not really catch what server was saying through the music/mask.

Salmon Don - $25

Fresh salmon slices layered over sushi rice, topped with roe and cube of tamago by the side. Salmon is so fresh that you can literally taste the sweetness! Chef also sprinkled citrus peel dust at the end, which gives a mild bitter and refreshing flavour. Lunch Set is served with lobster salad, mushroom soup & a plate of mochi desserts. Great meal, great price

Yes, I’ve had Donabe Rice several times (with different ingredients) and yes, I have had binchotan-grilled Wagyu Beef just as many times if not more. But having both simultaneously was a first for me, and we were even told to enjoy them together.
Verdict: I loved the outcome! 😋😋😋
Those huge, creamy oysters that had been braised in sake, shoyu, mirin and loads of butter, were broken up before being mixed into the piping hot rice to be served to us in individual bowls. After slicing up the smoky, melt-in-mouth Miyazaki A5 Wagyu (it had a crazy marbling factor of 11), we popped the oyster rice on top and enjoyed a “surf & turf” of the most delectable and flavourful kind.
I can’t wait to return to @fleuretterestaurant to discover what Chef-owner @tariqhelou has up his sleeves.

Fresh cuts of premium sashimi. The torched scallop was absolutely mouth watering. Definitely will be back again!

Our first experience here. It was a quiet place. Good ambience like any Japanese restaurant. We tried all 3 various platter that was available, Sashimi Moriawase, Sushi Moriawase and Aburi Sushi Moriawase @ $65/plate. Great experience. Everything was fresh and tasty.
