[INVITED TASTING] Had such a great feast at @1345mookata and we loved so many of their meats there! All of their dishes were very fresh and their marinated meats were all tender. As a garlic lover, their garlic marinated meats really stole the show for me as the umami flavours from the garlic was strong. They do have a huge variety of marination types, so definitely there is something for everyone.
Their soup base isn't too salty either and there wasn't a problem with the soup getting too cloying towards the end.
To wash them all down, their Thai milk teas were perfect, as they were rich and aromatic.
Loved how the whole area is very well ventilated and I didn't feel too hot and stuffy while eating. The smell from the bbq wasn't strong on my clothes either! Thank you @1345mookata for the food and @eatwithkeat for inviting! If I were to stay in the west, this should be my go-to mookata 😍
When was the last time you enjoyed a good mookata with your friends and family?
Mine was at least 10 years ago! 😲
This set platter at just $35.00, comes with a wide variety of meat including prawns, fish, pork belly, pork, chicken as well as assorted vegetables. We ❤️ the highly recommended a la carte add-ons such as basil 🌿 pork and garlic 🧄 beef! 👍🏻👍🏻
And what better way to celebrate the last day of school term 1 than delicious food coupled with great company @sntaysn @graceteoi @rachelkhoo and friendly service. 😘

Relocating from The Elitist, @1345mookata has finally found a new home at @peopleupsg which is right opposite my parents’ place! You can probably guess how popular they are from the number of tables extending out onto the walkway, despite being forced to move out from their previous location.
I don’t usually fancy mookata because of its oiliness especially the use of pork lard and letting it drip into the broth. But the homemade Chiang Mai style broth here is extremely lightly flavored, even with the pork lard dripping. In fact, the broth was tastier with the pork lard and ingredients. The Mookata Thai BBQ steamboat set is highly affordable, and serves 3-4 pax easily with its assortment of prawns, pork, pork belly, chicken, hot dog, crab meat, fish ball, sliced fish, vegetables, enoki mushroom and rice vermicelli. We also had the a la carte garlic pork which comes with heaps of chopped garlic. The robust flavor and aroma was simply addictive, one of the meats that I’d recommend.
Don’t miss out on their homemade chili sauce especially the seafood sauce of a spicy punch! There’s also an ongoing promotion of 1-for-1 homemade freshly brewed Thai milk tea & Thai green milk tea. Unanimous vote for their Thai green milk tea which had a delicate jasmine aroma and decent sweetness level. Recommended for group dining.
Value for price and the food is good! Would come back again 😄
favourite mookata place! very affordable and reasonable portions given. the chili deserves a special commendation, the right balance between sour and spicy 😋 must try if you live in the west~
Nice for sharing to 4 pax

📍Charcoal Thai
- Mookata Buffet
Decent mookata buffet with some fried finger food such as fries, mid wings, mini spring roll...
Limited selection of meat (chicken, pork, luncheon meat etc), wide selection of veg, some seafood selection (fish fillet, prawn & squid) and those standard processed food (fish balls etc)...
Given the price, pretty worth it, but in terms of taste and travelling, maybe not that so...
Overall, decent but not as fantastic as to making a trip over for it...
Damage: $26.75 (student price)

$51 for 5 pax. I love this mookata because it’s good for a rainy day and there’s no fixed base price. The price is by the ingredients that you’ve chosen.
You can choose clear soup or tomyum soup base, which both are good!
Dishes - Low standard , meat wasn’t marinated well .
Burple deal : 1 for 1 ( mookata + colleagen soup ) $57.90 before gst and service charge . Totally not worth . Ended up per pax need $34 which I don’t think the burple deal is worth at alll. U can purchSe the fave deal which is so much cheaper ,
Overall I don’t find it value for money considering the quality of food and portion .
Staff - lack of knowledge to know promotion burple that can be use.
With $34 per pax- u can get better food . ( please take note that this is already the price applied after using burple deal @@ ) so what kind of promo are we looking at for this extraordinary pricing .
Highly not recommended
got the set for 2 with a selection of seafood - scallops, prawns, sotong & crabmeat as well as a few types of normal meat (pork, chicken) + veggies. got extra cheese tofu, thai maggi noodles, king oyster mushroom and beef! This was actually too much for 3 (girls) and unfortunately we couldn’t finish everything... but it was really comforting on a cold day :~) would definitely recommend if eating with family/a group of friends.
you will smell like bbq afterwards for sure though!!!
Ala-carte Mookata that opens till quite late.

We strongly agree that they serve the best cheese dip in the west as we finished up the entire dip! They also have a super looooooong list of mookata 料 for you to choose from but if you’re too fickle minded, you can select their 2/4pax platter ($22/$39). They are open from 5pm till 3am (last order at 2.30am) daily!!! 😋
