A solid spot for wanton noodles.
The star here is the dish itself: springy noodles coated in a rich, savory sauce elevated by a subtly spicy chili that adds depth without overpowering.
The wantons are tender and well-executed, avoiding any rubbery texture.
While the char siew is nothing really special.
Stumbled upon a smokin’ hawker gem at Beauty World today. Tried the charcoal-grilled smoked duck breast — it was absolutely delicious! Tender, juicy with that perfect smoky flavour that hits all the right notes. 😋

Second time at Buta Kin!
This time trying their japanese curry rice too!
-Pork Tonkatsu Curry Rice ($6.80)
-Special Black Garlic Ramen ($9)
The food was all prepared hot! A freshly fried pork tonkotsu provides for a hearty and satisfying meal! Though I would have preferred if they could give more pieces of potatoes/carrots for the curry!

Char.B Charcoal BBQ offers a delightful dining experience with their well-grilled dishes at affordable prices.
The grilled chicken was a standout—tender, juicy, and perfectly charred, served with a side of crispy fries.
Another highlight was the sambal stingray, which was packed with spicy, flavorful goodness. However, the portion of sambal sauce felt a bit too limited, leaving me wishing for just a bit more to complement the dish.
Overall, it’s a great spot for satisfying and wallet-friendly grilled meals.

We love our hawker food {Part III}. Leng Kee’s fried oyster is a must-order for me whenever I visited Bukit Timah Food Centre. The tradition continues, even after the stall moves to the interim market.
This plate of fried oyster [a.k.a. orh luak] is just plain satisfying. Served with decent-sized oysters 🦪 and combination of crispy eggy bits with soft, gooey texture.

We love our hawker food {Part III}. This weekend, we visited the interim market to enjoy our favourite carrot cake! It still as good as it gets — With crispy, eggy exterior and plentiful of crunchy ‘chye poh’ [a.k.a. preserved radish] in every bite. 😋
