Went to Tim Ho Wan last week and ordered their Baked BBQ Pork Buns, Pan Fried Radish Cake, Pork & Shrimp Dumplings in Hot & Spicy Scallion Noodle, and Hong Kong Style Egg Tarts (~$45/2 pax)!😇

Overall ratings 10/10! Honestly love all dishes, no complaints and am an occasional customer🤣 Would definitely be back again!

The soup base is tasty and set lunch is definitely worth it

Everyone, @isshinmachi_sg is officially one of my go-to place for good noodles and Taiwanese food now 😍 We ordered a variety of dishes and many of them were BIG hits!

The Pork Wanton Noodles with Guan Miao Noodles ($13) was absolutely fantastic. The noodles were chewy, yet so easy to slurp 😍 really one of the best noodle textures I've had. The sauce was also not too salty and best paired with some chilli oil that you can ask from them! Wanton pieces were also very plump and meaty.

The Crispy Chicken Cutlet ($9.80) was one of the best renditions I've had in the Taiwanese restaurants I've been to in Singapore. Light and crispy crust, juicy yet tender meat, flavourful all the way through. Absolutely lovely.

Three Cups Squid ($16.90) came in a rather generous portion, with numerous fresh squid slices. The best part is actually the sauce here, as it had a beautiful combination of sweet and savoury flavours. Love how the ginger slices can be eaten too!

Hakka Style Golden Fried Chicken ($6.90) wasn't as good as the chicken cutlet, as it was slightly tough. Flavours were still strong!

Definitely coming back for their noodles and sides 😍

v hearty meal and a relatively more affordable option in the mall. good portion of chicken but the batter was v thick

soup was super shiok! had the spicy hong shao taste of taiwan beef soup which i thoroughly enjoyed. you can already tell it’s good from the colour of the soup 😍😍 beef had a lot of collagen which i didn’t love but it was still v tender and q good

I've had my eyes on this place since I love la mian. It was a surreal experience due to the contradictions haha. Which China eatery plays Michael Learns to Rock and only that? Their 肉夹馍 also came cold unlike other places, which means the bun wasn't freshly prepared. I ordered it because it's rare to not be pork. It turned out the beef was the cheap kind. Taste-wise it was fine!

Which golden soup isn't spicy but tastes like Campbell's corn and chicken soup? Do note the noodles can soak up the soup. No complaints about the chicken.

The noodles met my expectations, but cartilage that isn't soft enough to be eaten shouldn't be named cartilage. Nice soup that tasted of collagen.

Another dish which Miss K and I enjoy splurging a little on at the Canton Paradise is the humble XO Carrot Cake.

We love that each of the radish cubes are crisp on the outside, firm and soft on the inside instead of the mushy ones you tend to get at the pasar. The dish also comes with fluffy eggs, savoury bits of lap cheong and crunchy beansprouts.

Yes, it is pricier compared to the pasar or food court version but definitely worth it!

Yes, it is a little more pricey and I do get annoyed that there is usually a wait but one thing which the chain restaurants like the Canton and Paradise groups do well, is that the execution is consistently good across the chains.

Miss K and I are big fans of Canton Paradise's wasabi prawns. The prawns themselves are thicc and juicy and the batter shatteringly crisp. As for the wasabi mayo, it is creamy with a touch of quick fading heat, and evenly coated on each prawn. It usually hurts my pocket to order this dish but oh well, it's alright once in a while!
