Delightful to sample this 4hand k inspired 4hand collab between Meatsmith / Guum / Burnt Ends .
The pairing with a variety of Korean drinks was excellent as well .

tried oden for the first time ever here it was one of the most comforting dishes i've had! would recommend the mentaiko rosti too. restaurant was quite cosy and vibey too i kept looking at the paintings on the walls, nice place to yap and catch up with a friend :)

Shukuu Izakaya is a gem! The food is super fresh and really well prepared β€” you can taste the quality in every bite. The interior has a cozy, authentic vibe, and the service was warm and attentive. Great spot for a chill night out with amazing Japanese food. Will definitely be back!

This was a fun starter to have. Generous about of creamy lobster salad that was full of lobster and prawn meat as well as seasonal fruits. If you like lobster salad sushi, think of that but wayyy more decadent. Each bite was rich and decadent, a really unorthodox experience compared to your normal kueh pie tee. Would recommend to share this among four people so that each person can just have 1, because it will get kind of filling if still want to make space for the other dishes.

Xiao Ya Tou is that one place that you’ll walk past and be so intrigued by its decor that you know you have to try it. With its old school retro ambience, the space is cosy, fun, and great for gatherings. Service is both attentive and warm, and I personally think it’s a great place especially to bring your friends from far who want to have fun Asian but fusion cuisine.

The wok fried wagyu hor fun fell a bit short for me in terms of the hor fun itself. The wok hei wasn’t strong, and the flavour of the noodles itself tasted a bit bland. I did ask for their sambal to spice it up though. The wagyu beef jazzed up the hor fun a good ton, especially because it was nicely seared and well-executed till tender. A dish that’s both a hit and a miss for me.

The ambience was rustic and warm. We came here for the beef tongue, the mini donburis, the gyu don and sashimi don, the sake oysters, the gratin, the cod (seasonal item) and wasabi octopus.
I highly recommend the crab gratin and cod πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯

A lively atmosphere, in my opinion great for gatherings. We reached around 7pm on a weekday night and there were a few seats left but were quickly filled. The waiting time for food was not too long and the items came one after another.

As the food portions are on the smaller side, it is nice to have a variety of them. Standout dishes for me were the Spicy Salmon Don ($11) which was creamy and fresh, with just the right amount of rice. Gindara Misoyaki ($20) which was black cod, again fresh and perfectly grilled. Didn't try the sake this time so we got Sake Oysters ($16) instead which was pretty fresh and peppery, with a sweet aftertaste of the sake.

Will come back to try the sake!

great place and vibes with fantastic food. really resembles the izakaya vibe and made me reminisce the times i was in japan. restaurant is cosy and well ventilated which makes it comfortable to chill and hangout with friends. will recommend the cod, gyu don and oden. really love those! best to make reservation when dropping by as it can get quite packed in the evening

[TANJONG PAGAR, SINGAPORE] Ok I think @rappu.sg isn't new to most people who love their handrolls, but they have recently introduced the lunch don menu! We won a giveaway to try their new lunch menu, and we were given Mt. Zermatt 🍚 ($65) which was a sharing portion between 2 pax.

There were loads of ingredients, from fresh chopped up tuna, scallop, salmon mix, to unagi and duck tsukune or meatballs. Hidden beneath the ingredients were flavoured rice and some really addictive lotus chips. Felt like the duck meatballs were a tad dry, but the unagi and sashimi mix were delicious. The truffle grilled edamame was a plus point as it was hella addictive too!

We were also given the seasonal handroll, which was their Chu-toro ($24), definitely pricey, but it comes with large slabs of chutoro and uni which were HEAVENLY. Definitely one of the better uni quality I've had.

Lunch dons are definitely a good option given their quality of fresh seafood, but I would like to try their handroll course one day πŸ˜‹

This restaurant is located at a very convenient location, and also has a very nice ambience. The food are very good, especially this unagi tempura is nicely fried, so juicy yet not dry. Personally can finish a dish per person. Recommended.

Awesome food and great service, ordered the mackerel and the cod, dishes were cooked and seasoned to perfection. Definitely will be back!

The place was situated at a convenient location. The food was great, super tender and juicy. I recommend trying the fish, it should definitely be on your list of to- try! The atmosphere was nice and is definitely a great place for gatherings.
