Have been here several times and have always been happy with the taste of the food (the curry is spicier than in Japan but that’s to be expected). Apart from yakitori, there’s a good selection of donburi and side dishes.

The restaurant is always crowded but it’s easy to get a seat, especially if you come alone. This place is also popular with Japanese people, a good sign that the food is authentic (:

Amazing. My first time encountering this. Singapore doesn't have it. The filling is chocolate, condensed milk and Milo powder.

That's literally the name. It's pork chop. So why review it? It's superb and a signature here. It's available to add onto most mains. Imagine tonkatsu. It's like a budget version.

They let you replace grains with vegetables for no extra cost, cutting down on unecesary calories is easy.

Mocha (RM10.50)
Heard that they even grow their own beans! Can taste the effort they put in to have such a well balanced blend! Couple with the skillful barista, this mocha is seriously good!

Pork Ramen (RM17)
Not overtly salty like Tokyo style ramen, this broth reminds me of Okinawa style ramen, wholesome and thick, emphasizing on the meaty earthy flavours, well balanced with the seafood umami of the tare.

Aside from orange peel and cinnamon, this old fashioned (RM34) comes with half a strawberry and lemon, it doesn't do much to the overall drink, but the mixing here is on point, liquorice like sweetness paired with a zesty afternote, over the woody aroma of the whiskey.
My assumption is that they used a pretty great whiskey base to start.

As for the place, it's nice and cosy with different seating arrangements depending on your mood ; outdoor seating, high chairs, by the bar and even armchairs.

RM16
Pretty tasty croissant, all plant based so there's definitely no butter, and I can't even tell the difference.
The set comes with soup of the day (it was mushroom today, and it's creamy and filling), coffee (I went with Americano and can say that the brew was not the best I've had, but it's certainly better than most places), and a cookie, which was kind of like a chocolate chip cookie, but it was red and tasted really good!

This wantan mee (RM6) has chicken feet and fried porky bits. The chicken feet are done perfectly, the skin just slides off the bone, and they soak up the wantan mee sauce, giving such a pleasant taste.

You can literally taste the emulsified bones in this one, just like all tonkotsu broth should be, it's lip-smacking good. Not overtly salty like Tokyo style ramen, this broth reminds me of Okinawa style ramen, wholesome and thick, emphasizing on the meaty earthy flavours, well balanced with the seafood umami of the tare. Noodles were slightly undercooked today, for some reason.
Had a peach Chu-Hai (soda + suntory whiskey). Leave your toxic masculinity at the door, as this "ladies drink" is gonna put some hair on your chest.

The damage was RM45, (ramen rm17, peach Chu hai 25)

They also serve yakitori after 6pm, and nothing beats downing pork bellies on a stick while chugging some imported Kirin.

Do you really like coffee? Or are you the type who claims to enjoy coffee but drinks a drink that is only 20% coffee and 80% sugar, milk and chocolate? This café serves homegrown liberica beans roasted to perfection and brewed skillfully by their baristas. My go to drink is the Americano, no sugar because that would be a disservice to the beans. The deserts here are pretty good, I especially like their banana and ice cream on toast, the vanilla ice cream just softens and mellows out the sweetness from the banana, honey and caramelized sugar, not intrusive and goes well with a cup of Joe.
