Decent food and service. Long menu, but no memorable dish in terms of originality or taste. Pricey for what it is. Donโt know why itโs so popular.

Upscale casual restaurant that celebrates Southeast Asian flavours and crossroads.
Starting with savory, we enjoyed the ๐๐จ๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ซ๐ซ๐จ๐ฐ ๐๐จ๐๐ฌ๐ญ ๐ฐ/ ๐๐๐ฏ๐ข๐๐ซ, an indulgent buttery and creamy bite. The ๐๐ก๐ข๐๐ค๐๐ง ๐๐๐ฅ๐๐ ๐๐๐จ๐ญ๐๐ก ๐๐ ๐ was a mix of rendang with oozy egg and a crispy breading. Rich and flavourful with a strong spicy kick. The ๐๐ฎ๐๐ก ๐๐ข๐ ๐๐๐ was generously packed and balanced but did wish for the shell to be more crisp.
Moving on to sweet, ๐๐๐๐ฃ๐จ๐จ๐ฅ ๐๐๐ญ๐ & ๐๐๐ซ๐๐๐ข๐ญ๐กโ๐ฌ ๐๐ก๐๐๐ฌ๐ was a delightful sweet and savory mix of feta cheese and date encased in crispy and flaky pastry. Our personal favourite was the mango sticky rice. Also had the classic traditional
kuehs of ๐๐ฎ๐๐ก ๐๐๐ฅ๐๐ญ and ๐๐ฎ๐๐ก ๐๐จ ๐๐ฐ๐๐.
Comes with free flow tea or coffee. We enjoyed the chai which had a spicy finish, and the natural tasting rooibos. Found the matcha on the powdery and almost grassy side.

Chopsuey is a good place to bring your overseas friends to because they have done a v good job in fusion across Asian cuisines. Favourite was the 9pc dim sum basket $26++ and another job well done for the mix of spices in food and sauces. Can give the prawn toasties a miss ($19++ for 4 and +4.50 for extra piece). The fish tofu lasagna $32++ was interesting. And of course donโt forget to order their signature sticky date pudding for dessert since itโs under PS cafe. Good dining experience and ambience. I'm not sure if they regularly change their menu but it was v different from when I first came 2 years back. Nonetheless highly recommend ๐
The squid and prawns is grilled. Can taste the BBQ smell when chewing it
Nothing special about this dish
The brainchild of Sue-Shan Quek and Joseph Yeo, with Furrene Hoh, SPRMRKT (pronounced 'Supermarket') was founded in April 2012 with the idea that food, retail, and art could be melded into a single, enjoyable experience.
.
Garnished with gooey marshmallows but thick and rich in texture, this combines the American and British English styles, carrying chocolatey milky bitter sweet candied flavour.
.
Lovely and warm for cool days.

Nice ambience although itโs much more cramped than under previous ownership as Jones the grocer. Excellent, attentive service. The food is good but nothing extraordinary to write home about. Certainly not worth $60-70 per pax! You can get same-quality food for much less elsewhere. Vast majority of customers are expats - even wealthy Indians who come here to eat curry!?!
