When you looking for some authentic unagi place in KL, Makoto definitely the top on the list. They use live Japanese eel and freshly made upon order.
As much as what I expected with the taste, I found it a bit over burnt to me, but overall they still grill it well enough to savour the sweetness of the meat.
Never went wrong to pair with sake or highball. Lovely!!

Treat your fam to a fantastic dinner at this hidden gem in Sri Hartamas. Look forward to fresh meats with just the right amount of fat – perfect for grilling! Order the Sirloin (RM32), Lamb Short Rib (RM32) and Salmon (RM28), or if you feel like splurging, go for the Kobe Beef (RM185) or the Alaska Crab (RM55). Be sure to ask for extra dipping sauce – the miso-special homemade paste is to die for. Pro tip: They are located right next to Burger King. Parking is difficult, so make full use of their valet service.

Started the year with a good night out with the cousins over barbecued meat, nothing can possibly go wrong with that combination. Randomly called up the restaurant to reserve for a slot 30 minutes later, and we managed to get there just in time (also, yes, we managed to get a spot). If asked if I would revisit, answer is a definite yes. There are a few of these BBQ joints around the corner, you should check them out. Parking is a horrible thing. Please just make use of their valet service.
