Charr'd Steakhouse proves itself as the de-facto alternative steakhouse, delivering a focused yet elevated dining experience centered around premium A5 Wagyu.

The meal started with the Hyogo Creamy Oysters, which were impressively fresh, plump, and bursting with flavor—an excellent way to whet the appetite. The Salmon Cube Taré followed, delivering a delicate texture with a balanced glaze that enhanced its natural richness.

The House Caesar Salad with Chicken was light and refreshing, offering a simple yet satisfying contrast to the heartier dishes. Meanwhile, the House Creamy Mushroom Soup paired with bread brought a comforting depth of flavor with its earthy richness.

Moving to the mains, the star of the show was the 100g A5 Tenderloin. Grilled to a perfect medium-rare, the tenderloin’s luxurious, melt-in-the-mouth texture and deep umami flavor left a lasting impression. While the 400g Bone-in Australian OP Rib was well-prepared and flavorful, it couldn’t quite match the sheer indulgence of the tenderloin.

The sides rounded out the meal perfectly. The Charr'd Corn Elote was a pleasant surprise, delivering bold flavors that exceeded expectations—a standout new dish on their menu. The Truffle Parmesan Fries were equally satisfying, staying crisp throughout and carrying a strong, unmistakable truffle aroma that complemented the mains beautifully.

From start to finish, Charr’d delivers on quality, precision, and flavor, creating a well-rounded dining experience perfect for steak lovers seeking something exceptional.

The classic Nasi Lemak from Epok Epok Central at Eunos Crescent is a delightful treat.
Priced reasonably at $4, it features fluffy coconut cream-infused rice that pairs beautifully with their signature chili.
The crunchy peanuts and crispy anchovies add a nice texture contrast, while the homemade fried chicken wing seals the deal with its perfect crispiness.
This dish is totally enjoyable and definitely worth returning for!

💯 Muslim-friendly Banhmi at Joo Chiat✨ Affordable brekkie spot among the cafes 😂 Lasting longer than some cafes along the famous Joo Chiat Street - Their banhmi hits the spot with toasted baguette with their own marinated options of chicken pate or beef patty as well as pickled salad 💯 paired it with their grilled otah which is a homage to what the place used to sell 😊

can’t go wrong with banhmi, coffee and roadside seating ✌️

The name presumably comes from how impactful it's supposed to be given it has 3 meats: ham, beef, ckn

But in all honestly the baguette itself was average and the meats were fine but not spectacular. The ham carried hints of spice but this was otherwise pretty forgettable

Very meh, nowhere near as good as normal Viet coffeed in terms of taste profile or intensity, and the price is thus ridiculous for something of this quality

Charr’d Steakhouse is a halal steakhouse along Changi Road that specializes in A5 Japanese wagyu paired with different sauces and sides.

Seems like a popular bahn mi spot with the pretty sizeable queue that I’ll always stumble across over the weekend - and I finally got down to trying it. Considering how there are a few Vietnamese food options around the area, I didn’t know if this was a tourist trap, with its pretty appealing decor and even a little Nasi Lemak + otah stall at the side. But I thought that the bahn mi was pretty decent, with a plus point being really filled with ingredients like cucumber, coriander, lettuce, and beef. Also realised that they don’t have pork options here!

This is one of the popular stall with people constantly dropping by to grab some curry puff. And usually people won’t just take 1 or 2, but many pieces. So you will be in luck when they just made the new batch of it.

I would say it taste really nice even you only eat few hours later. Filled with potato and half egg inside.

Something to grab after meal here. They also have nasi lemak in the morning.
