Came by on the eve of Labour Day and there was a long waitlist at about 7.30pm. Left out contact details and took a walk, and surprisingly we got the call to return about 25min later, quicker than expected. Ordered the Half Yang Nyeom Chicken Mixture ($23) which came in a huge portion and drenched in a sweet-spicy sauce. Spicier than expected for Mild, but thought the chicken could be crispier. For carbs, we just went with the simple Ramen ($10) which was actually decent and the noodles were perfectly firm. Washed it all down with a pint of Stella ($12 for full pint during HH), great with the complimentary crackers.
Unusual in that most meats are pork and not beef. Excellent BBQ , although other dishes are good too. Outstanding service. Tables are a bit small for parties of 6.
Yum! The pork was lean and meaty but still tender and juicy, with generous servings of cucumber, kimchi radish, lettuce, and seaweed. I really liked the kimchi radish, it was sour and crunchy, not too raw or soft. I prefer a fried egg over a raw egg. Only thing was that my rice didn’t get crisp and crunchy at the bottom even though I gave it time to have surface contact with the dolsot, I’m not sure why haha
Their side dishes were great too - ikan bilis was puffy and crisp, not superrr salty and served with crunchy roasted peanuts. Kimchi was great too!! Very refreshing and crunchy, with good flavour, slightly spicy. Broccoli was normal, potato I’ve had nicer (maybe because I didn’t have it cold). I didn’t have the beancurd skin.
They also serve roasted tea here instead of normal plain water. I’ll say 50% of the Korean restaurants I’ve been to serve roasted tea so I can’t take it as the default, hence it is a plus point
The staff here , especially Han was so incredibly pro active & accommodating to our requests . They look happy to work here . The duck bbq is just amazing , very good quality n I love how the service staff makes a different variation with different sauce each time .
Don’t enjoy… the grilled pork belly was too fatty, almost 70% all fats, the whole piece left uneaten. The pork rib was sold out and replaced with pork belly, the staff did not inform when ordering, will definitely not order this dish.
Taste pretty good with hint of wok hei but loaded with MSG, I was extremely thirsty throughout the night.

Charcoal Grilled Pork Collar
top-grade pork neck marinated in a special homemade soy sauce, grilled over charcoal fire, served with soup and rice
I managed to get a queue number online first so didn had to wait too long. The gukbap comes with different slices of pork and pig stomach. The soup tasted abit like bak kut teh to me. The pig stomach was clean very well and didn have any gamey taste. The pork were tender too. It may look fatty but doesnt taste that way. Their kimchi was very authentic too. Overall, it was a bit bland for me. Perhaps would try the dinner menu next time.
Took awhile to try this popular pork broth for fear of the queues but thankful for the online queue system (opens at 10am) and my fast fingers that secured queue ticket 1. They also release reservations in batches but have never been able to obtain them.
While on the pricier side, this was worth the hype and transported us to Korea with the authentic and hearty Daejigukbab - pork & rice soups. The bowls featured a generous and delicious assortment of pork cuts such as aged pork collar, boiled pork, and pig stomach.
We enjoyed both broths equally. Busan style was a richer clear broth with more complex depth of pork flavour. Milyang style was thicker with a creamier finish from the long boiling of pork bones.
Their kimchi and chives banchan were also fresh and full of flavour, and the accompanying salted pollak added depth to the soup.
