From now till 4 May, Orchard Hotel is running it’s Flaming Feast: Prime "Meats" Seafood BBQ Buffet.

This buffet is a dream come true for meat and seafood lovers. From juicy, US grain-fed prime rib to smoky BBQ brisket and fall-off-the-bone pork ribs. Don’t miss the slow-roasted Kurobuta pork shoulder—rich, tender, and full of flavor.

Seafood fans, you’re in for a treat too. There’s baked whole salmon with béarnaise, sashimi galore (think Hokkaido tako, Norwegian salmon, and yellowfin tuna), and dinner-exclusive US oysters Bienville. Swing by on Friday or Saturday for Boston lobster and snow crab.

At the charcoal grill, it’s a meat lover’s playground - New Orleans BBQ prawns, beef sirloin, lamb chops, pork belly, gourmet sausages.

Go with an empty stomach as you’ll want to try everything!

For Valentine’s Day dinner, we kept it casual at Pete’s Place, and honestly, that’s the kind of dining experience we enjoy these days—good, honest cooking done right.

We started with the Calamari Fritti, and it was one of the best we’ve had in a while. Lightly battered and fried to tender perfection, the squid was paired with pickled zucchini, which added a refreshing contrast to the crispy goodness.

For mains, we had the Linguine Vongole, where the clams could have been plumper, but the white wine reduction was beautifully balanced—sweet, savoury, and full of umami. The Diavola Pizza was everything you’d expect—meaty, cheesy, with a chewy, satisfying crust that fills you up fast.

But the star of the night? Pete’s Tiramisu. Served tableside from a tray, the savoiardi biscuits soaked up the espresso and white amaretto, making each bite moist, decadent, and just the right amount of boozy, while the mascarpone added a creamy, luxurious finish.

Definitely a spot worth adding to the list for comforting, well-executed Italian fare.

It’s that jolly time of year again, perfect for merriment and feasting! York Hotel’s Christmas collection has returning favorites and a few exciting new additions. This year’s highlight is the new Slow-Roasted Angus Beef Brisket, served with roasted potatoes and seasonal veggies—a real treat. Cheese lovers shouldn’t miss the Festive Cheese and Cold Cuts Party Platter, perfect for sharing with 4-5 people. My personal favorites? The tender Roasted Chicken and the limited edition Dark Cherry and Chocolate Egg Tarts—both delicious and festive!

It tasted more like a pandan pudding to be honest
