The herbal duck broth is rich and soothing with a deep, slightly sweet flavour that clings to the noodles. Duck slices are tender, radish adds mellow sweetness and the pork lard + crispy garlic bits give it that extra oomph. The kang kong and beansprouts keep things fresh and crunchy.

The noodles and broth are packed separately, so nothing turns soggy. You get springy noodles that soak up the broth just right when you’re ready to eat. The fried single bone mid joint wings are a must order. It’s crispy, juicy and super satisfying.

It’s a home-based business, so you’ll need to preorder in advance. Everything’s packed well and tastes like something you’d get in Bangkok.

Established in the 1950s and later incorporated in January 1993, this chain of stalls is known for making their dishes from scratch daily. The brand is family owned, run by brothers Ramanan Subramaniam and Ravindran Subramaniam, sister Thenmozhi Subramaniam.

Their rendition is a dry richly spiced version, with the chunks of boneless mutton marinated with plain yoghurt and spices including black pepper, turmeric, curry leaves, and powdered red chili, then simmered for up to 2 hours or so.

The result is a tender oily dry chewy texture, with sharp meaty salty spicy savoury peppery flavour. Rather fiery, the heat grips and lingers on the palate.

I got double scoops (cookies & creme/earl grey) to go along with waffles dusted with cinnamon and icing sugar which includes a choice of chocolate/maple/salted caramel sauce. Both flavours complemented well with the waffle. The texture of the waffles was crispy on the outside, light and fluffy on the inside 》$14
