This place is perfect for dessert after a nice meal at Geylang . They really pick e best durians for u n you consume on the spot . They have other fruits if ure not a durian fan . Price is very reasonable and service is good .
I'll believe if this is their signature item. Unique and strong. I love orh nee.
We got honeycomb, mango passion fruit sorbet, chrysanthemum, oolong. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered, safe to say :)
[MACPHERSON, SINGAPORE] Finally tried Garden Pastry's extremely popular waffles and is it worth the hype?? Unfortunately, I don't think so 🤣
Their waffle was firstly a whooping 55 minutes wait, which honestly was quite shocking for a neighbourhood bakery. After the long wait, the waffles indeed tasted decent but definitely not worth the long wait 🥲 The default texture for the waffles was soft, not crispy, but chewy with a kueh like texture. It definitely had a fragrant Pandan flavour which complemented well with their peanut butter. They did give quite a generous slap of it too!
I wouldn't recommend going all the way for this waffle, but if there isn't a queue and you happen to be there, then sure it can be one of your snack options. Sad I couldn't try their taro swiss roll that day as well!
Honeycomb Gelato from Crazy Scoops offers a delightful treat with its creamy texture and rich, sweet honeycomb flavour .
It's a perfect balance of smooth gelato and crunchy bits, making it an irresistible choice for dessert lovers.
[MATTAR, SINGAPORE] Happened to have eaten nearby and we came across @crazyscoops.sg which had delicious gelato and mochi waffles 😍
The Mochi Waffles 🧇 were of quality, with a crispy batter and a soft fluffy inside. There was quite abit of mochi within, which was nice and chewy 😍 we tried many flavours of their gelato and we settled on their black sesame, strawberry honey yoghurt and white chrysanthemum. Their black sesame was the best, as it had such nutty rich flavours that made us go for more! The strawberry honey yoghurt was so refreshing with such a well rounded flavour. White chrysanthemum had a strong aromatic tea flavour which isn't too sweet!
Total bill was $21.80. Definitely a neighbourhood gelato cafe to go for especially when you're nearby.

($5.50) I thought they still have matcha sea salt ice cream but they didn't have on ice cream counter that day when I went there. So they did recommended some best selling flavour such as sicilian pistacho (I felt that its meh for me bc I don't feel like to eat nutty), salted caramel toffee (wanted to try it out but I alr trying this flavour on waffle already that time), dark chocolate which was much safer choice for ice cream. The taste for dark chocolate was quite rich and smooth texture that they literally stirred well before putting inside ice cream container at counter. I did saw coriander and kimchi on ice cream counter as its quite exotic taste for me imo as they didn't allowed to sample their ice cream (probably post-covid issue ba).
($3.90) ($1 - premium) Good thing that I have tried it out for their matcha ice cream for tasting but then I got a bit hesitation whether to order or not after trying :") bc it's quite not that nice and got weird matcha taste tbh but then it's quite rough texture that they didn't really stirred well tbh. But still I order in the end bc I wanted to write the reviews tbh but at least the cafe was really quiet and not much people inside around 2 to 4 people include 1 staff. I saw people went cafe for playing pokemon go lol and hiding inside the cafe bc of hot weather.
($2.60) I decided to explore deeper into paya lebar area (geylang east ctrl) for waffles with my sister. I noticed a lot of bakery (around 3 to 4 shops) selling waffles also along the way from bus stop at geylang east ctrl to aljunied ave 2) but then I preferred OG bakery over newly opened bakery lol at there. So it took us around 15 to 30 mins to walk in for waffles lol. You need to pay for waffles at cashier before waiting waffles for at least 45 mins to 1 hr to be ready. The taste for waffles was quite savoury tbh but the filling was just nice (not that little or too much) and also a bit sticky bc of caramel :")
