I guess this is my last time. My old haunt in my 20s. I ate weekly and was always looking forward. Heard they're shutting and thought it's a pity. But the standard today showed why it's dead. The signature breaded prawns were soggy and tiny. Although the curry chicken was tender, it wasn't good meat. The onion omelette and braised pork belly were okay, but the famous gravies were kinda flat. I'm at peace that I won't eat it again.
still one of the better ones around.
fried intestines is must-order
BRUH THIS WAS SO GOOD🤤❤️🔥 The staff explained that they wok-fry grass carp that's popular in Guangzhou, which has an addictive crunchy and bouncy texture, in fragrant garlic🧄 and dried chilli.
After so much feasting, my dad brought us to try this healthy barrel fish pot. We picked Toman fish🐟 which is hard to find nowadays and has lots of health benefits. It's then boiled with mushroom herbal soup in a wooden barrel with stones🪵😮 which was super cool to see!
[MATTAR, SINGAPORE] Lok Lok fans, where are you! I've finally tried @dllm.sg lok lok and it was FANTASTIC. All ingredients were fresh and the difference this stall has compared to others is their sauce and seasoning!
All skewers 🍢 are sold at $1.10 each, be it whether it's mantou or meats or vegetables or seafood. Once fried, they are doused in a sweet savoury sauce and they sprinkled some powdered seasoning that made each skewer have so much umami! My top 3 skewers had to be the beancurd skin, shisamo and broccoli 😍You can also order Maggi noodles to accompany your skewers and that was done beautifully too 😍 noodles were cooked al dente and the scrambled eggs added further richness!
If you are in the east and in the west (for their other outlet), this is one lok lok place you have to go!
The perfect spot to get supper late night around Paya Lebar. A place where you can find all Asian and Western foods when you crave it at night.
I went for their mee goreng with seafood. Tasty fried noodles with the ingredients.
A go-to place for coins.
No-frill, mass-market buffet that combines steamboat, grill, lok lok, ma la tang, ma la xiang guo and cooked food. I'm a simple man so I ordered only the stuff I like.

Went to Geylang Lor 9 Frog Porridge last week and ordered their Sambal Stingray, Sambal Sotong, Baby Kailan, Oyster Egg, 3 Dried Chilli Frog, some rice and some drinks ($79 for 4 pax)😇 Overall ratings 8/10! Food was pretty good but the oyster to me was abit overpowering in the oyster egg😅 Would head back again to eat tho😋
Came by for dinner/supper at about 10+ and food was served in a blink of an eye by the friendly staff. We had the: Omelette ($10), Kai Lan w/ Garlic ($8), Creamy Tom Yum ($15), Fried Rice ($8), Pad thai ($8), Basil Pork w/ Rice ($8). Maybe we were just ravenous from hunger, but everything tasted delicious and we wolfed everything down. My only complaints would be that the basil pork was kind of dry and didn't taste of the basil at all, and that the omelette was pretty bland and not crispy.
