So affordable and at an amazing quality, extremely value for money if you are okay with eating at the timeslots indicated. Free flow condiments bar, free flow mushroom rice or white rice, free flow shaved ice dessert station, and even a large cup of oolong tea is included on top of the food. All this for $10.80, y'all better grab the opportunity while it lasts. And don't forget to download the app and make a reservation!

Disappointing. While the portion was sizeable and breading on the chicken was crispy, the chicken itself was so bland. It wasn't dry per se, but was almost tasteless if not for the salted egg sauce. Salted egg sauce was more creamy than salted-eggy.

What really annoyed me was that when I asked for some sambal or chilli for the chicken, I was told that they "didn't have". What self-respecting Indonesian eatery wouldn't have any sambal chilli condiment for their food?? You could argue that the Salted Egg version is indicated under 'Non-spicy option', but the description on the website says that it's supposed to be topped with SAMBAL and Salted Egg sauce?! The real kicker is that I had to pay an extra TWO DOLLARS for the salted egg sauce, and they can't even provide some sambal chilli which there isn't an additional charge for??

I'm sure the Signature flavours would be decent enough for people to enjoy, but I found my first experience here so ridiculous that I'll probably not return. Paid $13.63 for Salted Egg Ayam with a Bergedil (which was oily and bleh for its $1.50 price tag).

If you are in need of some good desserts, @yatkayan is one place to go to satisfy your cravings. With a huge selection, we were spoilt for choice!

After some deliberation, we settled with our favourite Orh Ni or Yam Paste ($5.80) and Cold MSW Durian Mousse ($7.80). The Yam Paste was very thick, rich and creamy, exactly how a good orh ni should be! It came with a good number of gingko nuts, great if you love them. I love how the coconut milk added extra creaminess and flavour, but this means that it can get surfeiting towards the end šŸ˜‚

As for the durian mousse, this is definitely approved by the durian lover aka me. It was very rich and creamy, and I loved the huge slab of durian meat which was bittersweet! Quite a big portion for $7.80 and once again, better shared with others! My only nitpick is that it's not cold enough, wished that it was mixed with some crushed ice.

With their quality dessert and huge selections, definitely coming back again!

Their Marmite Chicken ($8.50 nett), is equally delicious, with a subtle funk from the yeast of the marmite sauce, and a delectable savouriness. Unfortunately, due to the uneven sizes of the chicken chunks, some pieces of fried chicken were definitely overcooked & dry, while the bigger pieces were decently fried. Still, the marmite sauce was delicious enough to ameliorate the dry bits of chicken, and you really shouldnā€™t miss out on this unique rice dish.

@newstationsnackbar is a legendary Singaporean zichar institution, so when I viewed fellow @burpple #tastemaker the_xw post about their new outlet in Fortune Centre, I knew I had to pop on over and get a taste of their renowned Salted Egg Pork Chop Rice ($8.50 nett). New Station Snack Barā€™s new digs in Fortune Centre have had a slight name change to @newstationricebar, but the food still retains the same excellence from what I can tell.ā €
ā €
The pork chop fillets are remarkably tender and coated in a thin, crisp batter, and New Station Rice Bar (NSRB from here on out) is acceptably generous with the pork portions. However, the real star attraction is the stellar salted egg sauce. Itā€™s more liquid than most other places, and itā€™s perfect for mixing in with the rice. The rich, creamy salted egg sauce is chock full of the stunningly savoury goodness of the duck eggs. With this luscious plate of salted egg pork chop, Iā€™m fully reminded & convinced of why New Station is consistently one of the top zichar places in Singapore.

long queue but moved pretty fast on a weekend

durian chendol was one of the more popular items!! durian was generous and slightly better to balance out the gula malaka sauce they have a yam version too..

orh nƩe was enjoyable as well, not too sweet. overall good pricing

@victorskitchensg has always had a reputation as a modest & highly affordable dim sum shop. However, the years have flown by, and the GST has gone up, and Victor may not have a reputation for being insanely affordable anymore. First Iā€™ll start off with the most value for money item I ordered: the Queen Size Siew Mai ($5.80 nett).ā €
ā €
The Queen Size does live up to its billing, they are larger than usual, and each piece of siew mai is surprisingly delicious. The superbly seasoned minced pork is moulded into a cylinder, wrapped in a delicate skin, and steamed in the bamboo basket. The siew mai has a delightful density to it, and chomping down on each bouncy siew mai yields an addictive springiness. These siew mais are certainly fit for royalty, and they are fit for you too.ā €
ā €
The Deep Fried Shrimp Dumpling ($6.20++) was the most expensive item I ordered, and although I appreciated the crunchy golden exterior and the bouncy shrimp filling within, other places do it for cheaper with comparable or better quality. The same could be said about the Steamed Pork Rib Rice ($5.50), which features fatty, juicy & tender pork on a bed of white rice. The pork ribs were adequately seasoned and tremendously tender, but the portion is kind of on the small side.ā €
ā €
Although Victorā€™s Kitchen is still decently priced, the years have passed us by and it is certainly no longer the most value for money dim sum joint in town.

($4) It taste like japan clear and refreshing broth soup and also their dumpling skin was a bit of thickness tbh. My friend and I waited our food at least for 45 mins as only one person do payment and also making food at same time.

Went to Jyu Gae Bistro a few days ago and ordered Taiwanese Ham & Cheese Egg Crepe ($9.90), Taiwanese Salt and Pepper Popcorn Chicken ($9.90), Mentaiko Sweet Potato Fries ($10.90), Truffle Fried Shrimp Balls (~$15), Pan-Seared Teriyaki Unagi ($15.90), Signature Stir Fried Carrot Cake with Radish (~$12), Caramel Milk Tea ($6), Kazo 3 pcs Cream Puffs(Matcha, Chocolate, Original)!šŸ˜‡

Overall ratings 9.5/10! Food is affordable and good, live bands after 8pm, ambience was pretty good, and staff were nicešŸ˜ Highly recommend their Crepe, Popcorn Chicken, and Shrimp BallsšŸ˜‹ Only downside was the Carrot CakešŸ˜… Would definitely head back again!
