Brunch Club by THC with a fun bunch
Crispy Calamari ($14): I love that they use baby squid! The batter was light, nicely seasoned, thin, and deliciously crisp-crunchy. The garlic yogurt dip was the bomb, too, with a lingering garlicky hit. Not greasy, the moreish fried calamari was wonderfully golden-brown and not overcooked at all (no dry pieces).
Argentina Rib Eye 200 Days Grain Fed ($46): This hearty plate is good for two to three ladies. It includes 500 grams of beef, sweet broccolini, thick-cut fries, and a side of lemak chilli mushroom sauce. With the chunkier cut, the medium-rare steak was fairly juicy and had a nice bite. It was a tinge more cooked than I would have liked, but I enjoyed the slightly charred edges. Overall, it was great without any sauce.
Classic Steak & Frites ($28): This is a pretty standard plate with a 200-gram rib-eye steak, thick-cut fries, and their in-house lemak chilli mushroom sauce. The doneness was delightful and nicely seasoned.
Frothy Teh Pandan Ice ($7): Not a very strong teh but the light pandan fragrance is a yummy touch and it wasnât too sweet.
Compare to their hotpot, itâs not spicy enough for me, so add dried chili is not even close. We ask for more çŤé ĺşć. But their dumplings are awesome! Especially the black one. And white one also with strong mushroom smell and taste. Good quality for lunch. Even is lunch set almost same price as HDL, if youâre in town. Good place to visit!
Came by on Mother's Day and they were so kind to offer a complimentary stalk of flower and beancurd desserts to our table in celebration. To our surprise, they were also running a promotion of 20% off the menu, even for the set lunch menu! Really so generous!
Their set menus start from $29.90++, which comes with broth and meat of your choice, a more-than-decent vegetable platter, choice of noodles or rice, a drink, and access to their "market table", which has appetisers, sauces and condiments, fruits, and a dessert bar where you can make your own jelly dessert concoction! There're also premium meat options to top up $10 for which includes seafood, premium beef, etc as your choice of meat.
Overall, the meat and veges were fresh and high quality, broths were delicious and refillable (we loved the tomato and golden chicken broths), and we had such a blast eating! Ambience was cosy, the interior was aesthetic, and service was prompt and friendly. If we had to give a complaint, it was that our table for 4 was slightly too cramped, such that we frequently had to 'tetris' the golden cages that the meat and vege platters came in for them to fit on the table top.
($9.50) comes with onsen egg its kinda strange when i eat main store on previous day but i eat second store on next day lmao. it remind me of chinese chicken curry paste lmao. But the batter was quite too much and less meat inside.
Had the Yunnan-style single hotpot lunch set and was pleasantly surprised! For $29.90, you get your own pot, a main, veggies, carbs and a drink. For an extra $10, you can upgrade to a premium meat or seafood option.
The free-flow Market Table was a highlight which includes DIY bingfen, tanghulu, dipping sauces and various side dishes.
I picked the black truffle mushroom broth, super fragrant and full of flavour. You can also choose a yuan yang pot if you prefer the best of both worlds.
The Signature Jasmine Flower Shrimp Paste is a must-try ! Bouncy texture with a lovely floral note.
Ended the meal with soft serve and a refreshing DIY bingfen.
Bonus: they also sell Yunnan flowers, which make a sweet takeaway gift!
A 4.9âstar spot at CHIJMES? Had to grab a friend and check out their lunch setâverdict: totally worth the hype. S$29.90++ or S$39.90++ per person, and you feel like youâre splurging in a luxe mall without wrecking your wallet.

Came by for the Restaurant Week Spring 2025 lunch menu and boy did it not disappoint.
You're greeted by a gorgeous and classy interior with high ceilings the moment you step into the restaurant - definitely a place to take your date to take her breath away. With the Restaurant Week menu, we started off with the Amuse Bouche which was Hawthorn Mozarella Gazpacho. We loved the warm bread which was dense with a hint of sweetness, and paired nicely with the contrasting tartness of the tomato in balsamic reduction as well as the creaminess of the mozarella cheese. Off to a great start!
For the first course, we shared the Tuna Watermelon Tartare and the Chilli Crab Curry 'Suan Pan Zi'. The chilli crab sauce was seriously addictive, equal parts sweet and spicy, and the 'suan pan zi', reminiscent of the teochew abacus seeds dish, was filled with a delicious prawn paste filling. Everything complemented each other beautifully, and we almost licked this plate clean. This was the much preferred dish over the tuna tartare, which we thought was just so-so.
For the mains, we had the Claypot Seafood Longevity Noodles and the Miso Pork Chop (a replacement the Tandoori Lamb which was unavailable at the time). They claypot noodles leaned heavily towards the peppery side, so much so that it was the only flavour profile of the dish. Which was a shame as the seafood were all so fresh and plump and their sweetness could have been brought out so much more. The pork fared so much better, and I especially loved the tenderness of the cut with a crisp charred exterior that paired wonderfully with the thick sweet glaze. Hands down the best dish of the meal.
Rounding off the meal were the desserts - the Sweetheart Symphony was a peculiar combination of Black Sesame mousse with an exceedingly tart rhubarb compote filling. Can't say that the flavours complemented each other. However, we thought the Mikan 'Panna Cotta' was a creative masterpiece - if you love citrusy flavours then you HAVE to try this. Simply amazing, and I was also blown away by the creativity,
Overall, while the lunch menu had some ups and downs, we left the restaurant feeling very much satisfied by the wonderful meal, the warm service, and the beautiful ambience of the restaurant. Definitely a place to return to!
Established in January 2021, this fast casual, family-friendly restaurant boasts an extensive menu.

Completed with a thick cucumber slice with vegetal sweet flavour, and a dollop of tomato ketchup for vegetal sweet contrast.

Love the melted cheese which brings the whole dish up a notch! Generous portion of mushroom slices given as well as long beansprouts & corn. Served with multigrain rice, kimchi & drink for the set. Gochujang sauce was served on the side to pour in & mix according to how savoury u like. Didn't pour everything & it's great for me already đ
Delicious hotpot spot at CHIJMES with great value lunch sets. Broths are simmered for 8 hoursârich, clean, and flavourful. Loved the mushroom variety flown in from Yunnan and the handmade noodles with no additives. Donât miss the crispy mozzarella cheese ball and house drinks. Bonus: they sell fresh Yunnan flowers daily. A relaxing, quality lunch experience!
