They're having a promo for their 10th anniversary, with select dishes and drinks going for just $10 - yes just $10, which is almost half-priced for some items!

Place was moody and vibey, great for a post-work gathering or even an evening date. We started off with the Tokyo Hummus ($12), which was made with edamame giving it a unique flavour different from the traditional chickpea. Topped with a layer of furikake and served with mini toasted bread slices, this was a great appetiser to start off the meal. Next were two $10 items we chose - the Unagi & Foie Gras Donabe and the Pork Aparagus Kushiyaki (2pcs). $10 for unagi and foie gras is really such a steal, an the dish did not disappoint at all. Delicious, with the sweet-savoury teriyaki-esque sauce, my only complaint would be that they could hold back a little with the sauce. On the other hand, the kushiyaki was just alright, and the pork tasted like salty bacon to me.

However, I was pretty disappointed by the charge of $3 per pax for water, especially since it was not made known to use at the time of ordering. The waitress asked if we wanted still or sparkling water, and we replied that we just wanted tap water to which she just said "ok" and did not inform upfront of the charge. I did not know until I saw the bill! And when I mentioned this to the staff, he just said something to the tune of "yes it's like that". No apologies, no clarifications, quite disappointing and ended off the meal on a poor note.

[CLARKE QUAY, SINGAPORE] 1 for 1 brunch deal alert ๐Ÿšจ If your name starts with 'M', 'A' or 'Y', you're in luck! Your table will be able to get 1 for 1 discount on their delicious brunch items* ๐Ÿ˜

Get dishes like their Black Pepper Crab Udon ๐Ÿฆ€ ($22) that had a strong spicy yet smoky flavour that can be quite addictive, or their Salmon Namjin Crossiant ๐Ÿฅ ($18) that was crispy, buttery and quite filled with salmon meat!

For the sweet tooth, the Pain Perdu ๐Ÿž ($18) can be quite satisfying as well with the contrast of rich buttery flavour from the brioche toast and the sweet fruits on top. This can be quite heavy, so I do recommend sharing!

Talking about sharing plates... Their Squid Fritters ๐Ÿฆ‘ ($18) was absolutely addictive. Not too chewy, the squid cuts were fried quite nicely and seasoned well. As this was quite a big portion, this can feed about 3-4 pax adequately.

To quench your thirst, I highly recommend the refreshing Orange Americano ๐ŸŠ ($7.50) or their Dirty Coffee โ˜• ($8) for the serious coffee drinkers. I liked their blend as it was smooth yet full bodied!

I quite enjoyed my time here, especially since the space is quite big and great for conversations. Best if you can get the sofa seats, as it is comfy and relaxing ๐Ÿ˜Œ Thank you @homedawn.sg for the invite!

*Note that the brunch promotion is only available in May and June 2025 daily till 3pm.

Very creative and delicious tapas. Even the paella is good. Pleasant and knowledgeable service. One of more reliable Spanish eateries in Singapore.

[1 FOR 1 BRUNCH FOR SEPTEMBER BABIES] A cafe right smack in the heart of the Clark Quay area, @homedawn.sg has an extensive menu full of brunch and Asian fusion options. We tried several of their dishes and some of them were pretty decent. They have an ongoing promotion till the end of Sep 2024 where if your birthday falls in Sep, the entire table can enjoy 1 for 1 brunch! Here's what we had:

Homie's Brekkie ($25) - this is a standard fare for most brunch places, and I'm glad that this place did the scrambled well. There's a variety of ingredients so this would definitely turn out to be filling!

Bulgogi Pizza ($32) - their pizza crust is completely crispy, and may work out for some people. I personally liked it, due to its contrast with the soft cheese and beef slices within. Quite beefy but definitely would be happier with more ingredients inside.

Black Pepper Crab Udon ($22) - Now for their Asian fare, this is good for the black pepper lovers. With a strong kick of black pepper flavour, the udon was slurp worthy with a slightly al dente texture. Soft Shell Crab was crispy but can be abit salty!

Iced Latte ($6.50) and Iced Coconut Latte ($7.50) - their coffee here was just lovely, especially the 2 mentioned here. Their Iced Latte was rich and nutty, very aromatic and was so satisfying! As for their Coconut Latte, I love how the coconut flavour was not artificial and did not overpower the coffee as well. Both complemented each other well ๐Ÿ˜

With a spacious environment, it's a great place for couples as well as families. This is a duo concept too and this cafe will turn into a bar with live performances at night ๐Ÿ˜ The live band performance will also happen on the 1st weekend of every month during brunch time! Hurry the 1 for 1 offer is ending this month!

More a drinking hole and karaoke than eatery. Menu has decent variety. This tasted kinda weird but edible.

Most bars don't serve up quality food, but it's not the case here at @ichi.1sg because we all thoroughly enjoyed most of their dishes.

Their Hamachi Kama ($28) was just spot on. The skin was grilled till crispy, while the meat within was fresh, sweet and succulent! It was meaty pieces and the sweet salty marinade gave it so much flavour. Wished I had the whole plate to myself ๐Ÿ˜‚

Their Scallop Mentaiko Pasta was so rich and full of Mentaiko as well; mentaiko lovers would rejoice! But this can be surfeiting so it's good to share!

Their Salted Egg Oyster Mushrooms are also a nice sharing dish. The oyster mushrooms were crispy and the salted egg sauce was glorious. Wished I had rice to mop them up ๐Ÿ˜‚

Finally of course, you have to have pizza to share in a bar. Their Smoked Salmon Pizza came quite filled with smoked salmon pieces and cheese, and their crust can be quite crispy! I like it but for people who prefer a doughier crust may not so!

For drinks, @chorongchorong.official would be your go-to. They have a couple of flavours here, but personally, I like the Bohae raspberry wine instead as it's a sweet easy drink to begin with ๐Ÿ˜‚ quite rare to find this wine in Singapore bars!

One thing to note, is that they have live performances from Thurs to Sat. You can enjoy your good food with some good songs ๐Ÿ˜ There are daily alcohol promotions as well, like 2 beer towers for $108 on Monday, and 3 beer towers for $208 on Thursday. Prices of food can be abit steep here, but they do serve up good quality. In the heart of Clarke Quay, this is one bar for you to consider! You can reserve on chope and quote "ICHIPLATTER" to get a free plate of sashimi!

We ordered the cheese pizza and the truffle mushroom pizza. Both were outstanding. Very crisp and fluffy crust. The truffle mushroom pizza had a great truffle flavour and generous amount of mushrooms. Cheese pizza was delicious. Fresh cheese felt rich and indulgent.

Smoked Mussel Nori Shell 3/5
Cod Fish Otah Fritters 1/5
Chicken Nuggets 1/5
Beef Tartare 2/5
Lobster XO Pasta 3/5

Some administrative hiccups happened, we waited for 1h15mins despite having a reservation. Be warned

Beef was average, it's more salty than sweet. Overall it's passable. Pictured is double portion of beef I think

Take note there's a surcharge per table of 10bucks because they're a karaoke place

Food and service is great! Great savings from Burpple 1 for 1 deal.
