Made with tender braised fish maw and wild porcini mushrooms, this signature dish ($44.80 small, $54.80 large) is a hit at the table!

[INVITED TASTING] Had such a great feast at @1345mookata and we loved so many of their meats there! All of their dishes were very fresh and their marinated meats were all tender. As a garlic lover, their garlic marinated meats really stole the show for me as the umami flavours from the garlic was strong. They do have a huge variety of marination types, so definitely there is something for everyone.

Their soup base isn't too salty either and there wasn't a problem with the soup getting too cloying towards the end.

To wash them all down, their Thai milk teas were perfect, as they were rich and aromatic.

Loved how the whole area is very well ventilated and I didn't feel too hot and stuffy while eating. The smell from the bbq wasn't strong on my clothes either! Thank you @1345mookata for the food and @eatwithkeat for inviting! If I were to stay in the west, this should be my go-to mookata 😍

Craving some fried rice? Head to Yun Nans’ Westgate outlet to try their Fried Rice with Minced Pork and Preserved Vegetable ($13.90)! This will surely make for a hearty meal.

When was the last time you enjoyed a good mookata with your friends and family?

Mine was at least 10 years ago! 😲

This set platter at just $35.00, comes with a wide variety of meat including prawns, fish, pork belly, pork, chicken as well as assorted vegetables. We ❤️ the highly recommended a la carte add-ons such as basil 🌿 pork and garlic 🧄 beef! 👍🏻👍🏻

And what better way to celebrate the last day of school term 1 than delicious food coupled with great company @sntaysn @graceteoi @rachelkhoo and friendly service. 😘

Bland seafood pancake, overly thick pork belly, expensive for meat portions given, only saving grace was the cold noodles. Overall eating experience was very rushed. Will not be going back.

Rong guang BBQ has been around in SG for quite some time. I will frequently pass by their now-defunct Ulu pandan outlet during in the late noughties. I da pao from there a few times then.

And I recalled their seafood bbq was quite good. Later on, they even open a stall at makansutra gluttons Bay, so their standard must be quite good la.

And the most popular dish here, is the sambal stingray itself. Generous amount of sambal, which was spicy and flavourful.

Stingray was fresh, meat was soft. Some of the corners were slightly crisps.

Generous amount of onions.

Damn shiok eating this, spicy enough to induce sweat from forehead and cheeks. 🔥

I would definitely bring my wife here to eat this next time.

My impression on how good a zhi char restaurant is, is dependent on how good they cook my favourite zhi char dish ever: the Sambal kangkong.

And the sambal kangkong is fairly good. Lots of garlic, smells very 香. Like how my mum cooks them. Yum. Not very spicy, but quite flavourful due to the garlic.

4/5 rating for me.

Enjoy the best of both worlds (Shabu Shabu & Yakiniku) with @shaburikintan.sg all-you-can-eat buffet!

They have recently launched a new seasonal Hokkaido Festival Menu, featuring unlimited Hokkaido meat cuts (Pork Collar/Jowl/Belly), Ramen Salad, Potato Mochi, Crab & Potato Croquette, Sapporo Miso Ramen, Hokkaido Milk Ice Cream and many more!

This buffet is a bang for your buck because for under $40, you get to enjoy a wide variety of meat, vegetables, noodles, rice, side dishes, dessert and drinks! You can select Single Pot for the individual hotpot or top up $1 for the Twin Pot. Choose the soup bases from Original Konbu, Chicken Collagen Paitan, Hot Miso, Tonkotsu, or Sukiyaki.

A secret hack I learnt is to grill the potato mochi! Trust me and try them out for yourself! It's so good!

The seasonal Hokkaido Festival Menu is only available for a limited time only, so hit them up soon!

The beef tongue is the absolute worst I've ever had. It wasn't even fresh, and the texture was horrible. Steak was decent actually, fire it up on maximum heat until slightly browned.

This is by far the worst cheap yakiniku I've had. And I've been to both the other major chains. The side dish portion is tiny, the beef quality is the worst, and the price is the least affordable, esp for the quality.

It boggles my mind why they're so packed. Maybe cos the only other yakiniku in the west is the same chain at JPoint.

The kalbi was alright, tho it wasn't the best. The boneless short rib was abit dry, nowhere as good.

It's ridiculous they're charging gst and svc for this portion of meat and absolutely no service

We ordered 3 plates of meats and they were all so wonderfully marinated. Full of flavours and sooo tender. The free flow of side dishes makes the experience even better. The kimchi soup was well-received by all of us, though it could be a little hotter when served. Servers were responsive to change the BBQ hotplate after we finished a plate of meat. The BBQ experience was not smoky and we left the place feeling satisfied. It was quiet at 4pm when we reached.
Will be back!
