A hearty dish, the Chicken Gumbo OG Version is packed full of flavour. It has marinated chicken in a spice-perfumed broth loaded with sausages, potatoes and veggies. Served with sourdough bread that was crusty, chewy and nutty with slight tanginess, they went very well with the spices of the broth.
It’s a sourdough heaven! 11 kinds of sourdough to choose from, chocolate sourdough MUST try! Very nice ambient too. Definitely will come back again!

On a slightly more laid back Saturday with mum, I was in awe as I forked mouthfuls of this delicious rye broffin. Only the best ingredients go into this squared sweet, think melted chocolate couverture, fresh raspberries and sea salt. Once frowning upon the prices of the sourdough loaves here when I first read about anna’s on social media, I am officially a converted patron of the sourdough produce.
Sheepishly I tell mum we need to visit more often please. Especially when they serve accompanying gryphon tea blends which we find the most reliable teas in the market now.
This is not an exaggeration.
Potato Gratin Thyme sourdough pizza consist of deli cheese, potatoes, garlic confit, truffle cheese sauce, thyme leaves, sourdough crumbs, capers, lemon zest, sour cream & grated Parmesan cheese.
Anything with truffle will instantly win me over. Every slice of pizza was so cheesy, flavourful and trufflicious.
But what really sold me about this, is the sourdough crust. Its so good, I happily eating and enjoying the crust.

Lamb Shank was damn tender and meat easily slides off the bone, easily glides through my teeth and left a damn shiok taste in my mouth.
The stew was also damn flavourful, we drank finish the pot. The mashed potato adding a bit of thickness to the stew as well, making it damn shiok.

Located within Punggol One Hawker Centre is the 2nd outlet of CoCo Rice, the popular main outlet is located at Tiong Bahru.
Served with cabbages, salted Egg, lady fingers, etc. Generous amount of assam curry poured onto the nasi kandar, soaking it so every grain of rice is with assam gravy.
Chicken looked so good, tasted good as well. Chicken was fried to a crisp, was so juicy and fresh.

The crust, though thick and tart, wasn't really chewy nor open crumb enough for me to fully appreciate the sourdough. I found that the uniqueness of this pizza lies not really in the crust but the fact that cheese was drizzled with honey. Never have I tried sweet gorgonzola but I must say it is a fine concoction!
I've never tried Gumbo before so I wasn't sure what to expect out of this quintessential Louisianan dish. Well, since the owner of the restaurant also owns soup spoon, I thought I'd give it a try.
Again, the soup base was quite thin but surprisingly strongly flavoured. The chicken and sausages probably contributed to the highly umami taste, and we scraped up every last bit with the accompanying sourdough.
The sourdough pasta was really firm, just a smidge above al dente but I'm not complaining. Also note that the sauce was a bit thin but I could overlook it with all that tender meat and sweet cherry tomatoes.
