($3.90) last mth special for thai ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ญ I didn't tried this before at nine fresh and decided to try it out ~ this round of time. So thai beancurd turned waterish after a while ๐Ÿ’ฆ and at least got strong milk tea taste for it. But I got grass jelly, black pearl, sago, mini-taro q and milk balls ah instead for b.

Kickstarting my morning with carrot cake from this stall at the coffee shop. Gotten the smallest portion in black sauce but still pack with the taste.

Da Zhong Cafe ๅคง่ก†่Œถๅฎค

This humble stall has been operating even before 2012, with locals returning time and again for their tasty desserts, friendly service, and affordable pricing.
.
Their version differs more than any other, with the fig seed gel (derived from the seeds of the awkeotsang creeping fig) moulded into an accordian-shape rather than the traditional slices.
.
This wobbly aiyu jelly is then placed over, rather than under, the smooth shaved ice, drizzled with lime juice and a simple sugar syrup. The juicy diced fruit cocktail (pear, pineapple, peach, cherry, green grapes, nata de coco) sits around it.
.
Carries enticing honeyed earthy floral fruity sweet sour zesty tangy flavour, yummy.

chicken wing was crispy and juicy but the rice was lacking the last time i had it. this time, it was the other way round; rice was fragrant & nicely seperated while the chicken was dry & lacking in flavour. sambal is on the sweet side too. not the best nasi lemak, but itโ€™s the ultimate comfort/supper food to me!

It's been some time since I've been to Chomp Chomp Food Centre, and I feel like the prices have risen quite a bit since ๐Ÿซ  wonder if it's because it has become much more touristy that before ๐Ÿ˜‚ Nonetheless, the food here is still pretty good! Here's what I've got:

Hokkien Mee ($5 medium portion) from Chia Keng Fried Hokkien Mee - many people don't seem to stand by this, but this portion we had was delicious! The portion may be smaller than usual, but it was packed with seafood flavour with every bite. There wasn't much alkaline flavour and it was starchy in a nice way. Prawns were a miss but the pork lard pieces were just glorious with the noodles ๐Ÿ˜

Sambal Stingray ($20 medium portion) from Hai Wei Yuan - may be expensive, but they did give quite meaty pieces. There was little fishy odour and the meat was flaky, juicy and smoky! Sambal was not really spicy, but flavourful. Good enough to share among 3!

Oyster Omelette ($9 medium portion) from Ang Sa Lee - quite decent, the oysters were plump and fresh and there was alot more egg than flour in this rendition! Chilli was okay, just wished it was more savoury.

Pork and Chicken Satay and Chicken Wings from Traditional Hai Nam Fang - now these stole our hearts ๐Ÿ˜ the satay meat were so smoky, flavourful and tender ๐Ÿฅน perfect with the peanut pineapple satay sauce given. The chicken wings were also well flavourful and smoky too! Definitely a good sharing dish here!

Somehow drinks are in enormous portions ๐Ÿ˜‚ this can be a place to consider having a good dinner with friends! Although it can be abit inconvenient to get to ๐Ÿ˜‚

affordable and actually filling. topped up $2 for sauteed veggies & miso soup. there was free barley tea too! but beef was aight.

Went to BLWH Seafood 3 weeks ago and ordered their Sambal Kang Kong ($10), Dry Ee Mee Small ($8), Claypot Tofu ($10), and their Prawn Paste Chicken ($12)!๐Ÿ˜‡

Overall ratings 9/10! Food was good as I remembered, and it was super filling for 2 pax๐Ÿ˜ Claypot Tofu was mid but the other dishes were ๐Ÿ”ฅ What's even better is that you can pay by CDC vouchers so + points for that๐Ÿ˜ Would definitely head back again!

($8) + ($3.50 for sausage) I felt that their pork chop was quite salty tbh but then I regretted to order sausage but its quite normal tbh (but then they got set meal?) I don't think that I will be coming back again?

($8.50) HMMM THE SIZE WAS QUITE SMALL BUT I SAW PEOPLE ORDER THIS AND QUITE BIGGER THAN ME ๐Ÿฅน๐Ÿคฏ. BUT THEY GIVE ME TWO PIECES INSTEAD OF ONE ??? But then the taste for fish was quite weird tbh. I felt that their standard dropped a lot since I went there last 2 year ?
