($9.80) it's quite expensive drink on north east line tbh :") tbh I don't wanted to get this "trend" for banana pudding. I really want to try their popular drink so it just happened. But I felt that banana pudding got strong taste in matcha before premixed as their matcha taste quite milky and sweet tbh. overall that I want to try for once to experience how "trend" go up and down like roller coaster. But it's interesting fusion for banana pudding w matcha tbh.
[KOVAN, SINGAPORE] @alkove.sg is known for their multiple promotions throughout the day, and I've finally tried their daily dinner set menu!
At around $25, depending on your main and top-ups, you get a really sizable meal with a starter, a side and a dessert. The mains are already quite huge, and my favourite among all I've tried is the Chicken Schnitzel š ($17.90) which was really enormous and the meat within is really tender and flavourful! The rice unfortunately did not have much garlic taste, but the meat sauce helped.
As for starters, the ciabatta with kombu butter š„ is lovely, as the bread was toasted well and paired deliciously with the umami spread š Get the mushroom chips as well as that provided a lovely crunch!
For sides, the Mala Potatoes š„ is the GOAT. Crispy potatoes with a mala sauce that tasted like lao ganma, this was addictive.
As for desserts, both the Brownie with Ice Cream š« & Tiramisu ā were good. The former was very rich and chocolatey and the latter had a strong coffee taste!
Indeed there were some misses from the items not mentioned, but overall it was a decent meal, and it was fun trying out so many different varieties of food! Where else can you get such variety at such a price?
Good! But very flaky.
favs were the scrambled eggs and potato chunks!
this was kinda mid :/
fav part was the cinnamon waffleš§
nice american diner vibes! canāt go without a milkshake which was surprisingly not as sweet as I expected it to be
loved the dish, they nailed the flavors right. there was a generous portion of crab in it that went very well with the spicy sauce. šÆ recommend!
Niko Neko roasted rice ice cream filled with seasonal berries, kinako bean powder, rice ball green tea jelly, azuki red beans and lastly topped with edible flowers
Singapore Coffee Festival Special
.
Espresso coffee mixed with tonic water and splash of orange juice, then garnished with orange slice
Had the Earl Grey Milk Tea Fatcaron and Pistacho Dirty Latte.
The Earl Grey Milk Tea Fatcaron was good as it is not sweet like usual macron that is available in the market. The Earl Grey is strong in taste for people that like strong flavour.
Pistacho drink wise, is too nutty for me and viscous. I would expect it to have a more smooth texture for a drink.
The Sundried Tomato Chicken Wrap from First Story Cafe is a delightful snack that impresses with its savoury and pleasant taste.
Reheated upon order, it maintains a fresh and satisfying quality, making it an excellent choice for any time of the day.
Highly recommended for those seeking a quick yet flavourful bite.
