Living here in Singapore for so many years, this is actually my first time exploring this small and quiet neighbourhood of Bukit Purmei.

There’s actually a few eateries around here, and mostly catered to the residents around.

Found this prawn noodle stall in the coffee shop with queue during lunch time, so decided to try it.

Very simple but tasty prawn noodle, even I just went for the small portion. Comes with pieces of prawn and sliced pork.

Botak Jones will always be 1 of my favourite western food stall.

And the 1 dish that I will always get is the Cajun Chicken.

With 2 slices of tender juicy breast meats, Topped with cheese and cajun sauce. This is just the complete combination for the chicken breasts.

And their spicy fries also damn shiok, so crunchy, like eating potato chips.

Founded in 2003 by Bernard 'Botak' Allen Utchenik, this casual western chain has made several comebacks from their peak in 2009.
.
Served within fluffy soft buns with bready sweet flavour, their 22 centimetre chicken sausage is snappy and juicy with meaty salty sweet flavour and no fillers.
.
Dressed with crisp white onions with vegetal sweet flavour, and creamy mustard for a sharp spicy sour kick.
.
Or, dressed with chunky minced beef chili with crisp diced white onions, carrying meaty salty savoury vegetal sweet spice flavour.
.
Served with crunchy chilled coleslaw with vegetal milky sweet flavour, and hot crisp cajun spiced potato fries with starchy sweet spice salty flavour.

Woke up and decided to try a different variety (only on size lol) of kaya toast today

Not sandwiched and presented differently, this bread has kaya spread on top. Despite being thick, the bread is still nicely toasted yet still soft. Enjoyed the generous spread of kaya, though can be quite jelak after a few bites. Pair with teh or kopi!

4.5⭐ A favourite among my colleagues & I. The stall opening days are erratic so it really depends on luck for it to be open. Each bowl of noodle or beehoon is served in claypot. There are only 5 to 6 choices to choose from and I have ate almost all except the mee tai mak as I dislike the texture of mee tai mak. Ate the lala beehoon this time and it's filled generously with lala and fried egg. The soup is extremely flavourful with hint of hua diao wine.

My Favourite Nostalgic Western Food.

Taste just like it was back in the mid 2000s

Now also avaliable in thigh meats instead of the usual breast. Still taste as good. But I prefer the chicken breast to be honest. Well marinated as usual.

Cajun Fries are great as well, generous servings and every fry is marinated well & flavourful.

Top up a bit of $$$ to upgrade 1 of the sides to my favourite cheesy potatoes. Yums

Throwback. I'm not sure if this stall still exists. Their dry version was lovely so I tried soup. I don't know why. Bad idea.

not a lot of places offer DRY meesiam but this one does and it’s GOOD
