Came by for a post-workout dinner, and luckily they were still accepting orders at 9.30pm. Between the three of us, we got the Maggi Goreng Set ($9.20) - which came with maggi goreng (added chicken for $1.70), Mini Masala Chicken, and Teh Tarik (+50cents for iced) - and Butter Chicken ($7.70) with three plain prata ($1.40 each).

First off, the maggi goreng lacked flavour except saltiness. The chicken that we added was just unevenly sized chunks of dry chicken breast. And while the masala chicken was alright, we were puzzling over the butter chicken for awhile as it tasted not at all creamy and nothing like the butter chicken we were familiar with. Very strange. The crispy pratas were the only saving grace of the meal.

A well-balanced bowl packed with rich, slightly herbal broth that isn’t too heavy. The tender, juicy chicken slices soak up the flavours beautifully while the chicken balls added a nice bite for variety. The rice noodles had a perfect springy texture and soaked up all the flavourful broth beautifully. The addition of fresh kang kong gave a light crunch and an earthy freshness that helped balance out the richness. A sprinkle of chilli flakes gives it a nice little extra punch 》$8.50

Their rendition veers towards the Mamak style common in Malaysia, with the use of light soy sauce and dark soy sauce, omitting tomato ketchup, resulting in a more natural brown hue.

The soft chewy noodles glisten in the light, and together with wispy chicken egg, tender beef slices, crunchy cabbage, and crisp chye sim / Chinese flowering cabbage, this carries smoky grainy savoury salty sweet eggy meaty flavour.

($9.80) salted butterscotch crumble got savoury taste and rocky road got bitter taste (top up for $1 to change ice cream flavour) I didn't expected that ice cream melted so fast after serving and also the sauce for butterscotch and chocolate fudge was quite too much tbh.

Charr'd Steakhouse proves itself as the de-facto alternative steakhouse, delivering a focused yet elevated dining experience centered around premium A5 Wagyu.

The meal started with the Hyogo Creamy Oysters, which were impressively fresh, plump, and bursting with flavor—an excellent way to whet the appetite. The Salmon Cube Taré followed, delivering a delicate texture with a balanced glaze that enhanced its natural richness.

The House Caesar Salad with Chicken was light and refreshing, offering a simple yet satisfying contrast to the heartier dishes. Meanwhile, the House Creamy Mushroom Soup paired with bread brought a comforting depth of flavor with its earthy richness.

Moving to the mains, the star of the show was the 100g A5 Tenderloin. Grilled to a perfect medium-rare, the tenderloin’s luxurious, melt-in-the-mouth texture and deep umami flavor left a lasting impression. While the 400g Bone-in Australian OP Rib was well-prepared and flavorful, it couldn’t quite match the sheer indulgence of the tenderloin.

The sides rounded out the meal perfectly. The Charr'd Corn Elote was a pleasant surprise, delivering bold flavors that exceeded expectations—a standout new dish on their menu. The Truffle Parmesan Fries were equally satisfying, staying crisp throughout and carrying a strong, unmistakable truffle aroma that complemented the mains beautifully.

From start to finish, Charr’d delivers on quality, precision, and flavor, creating a well-rounded dining experience perfect for steak lovers seeking something exceptional.
