Overdue. But one of the best limited items this year. Samurai burger is already a favourite and this tasted like ramen shoyu hahaha.

The dry ban mian was messy in the best way. Springy noodles coated in savoury sauce, well-seasoned minced meat, earthy mushrooms and a soft-boiled egg with that creamy yolk that pulls everything together 》$5.50

The soup version was clean and naturally sweet, with a generous handful of hand-torn mee hoon kueh that had that satisfying chew. Toppings like leafy greens, mushrooms and egg made it hearty without feeling heavy. And yes, they really do tear the dough by hand daily, which shows in the texture 》$5

I had been craving this. I thought the rice came with the skin, but no, I had to buy separately. Firstly, the chicken rice was very good. It has bones but a lot of meat. Secondly, the skin was mad crispy, albeit nothing special.

Chicken leg, mutton, two veggies. I had been drawn by their nasi kandar for a long time. In the end I'd say they have more dishes than a common Indian food stall, the standard's so-so, and it's very expensive.

Eat 3 Bowls is known for their authentic braised pork rice but I recently discovered another gem on their menu: Taiwanese Fried Tofu with Pickled Cabbage ($7.20). This is literally 臭豆腐 without the 臭.The fried tofu is crisp on the outside, silky on the inside, and drizzled in a fragrant garlicky sauce🤤 The refreshing pickled cabbage punches through the savoury sauce and brings balance to the dish. Will definitely order this again next time!

It tasted like any other normal rosti.
