Opened in June 2013 by the Red Ginger Group, this casual eatery is known for their delicious Malay-Peranakan dishes, and typically attracts queues during meal times.
.
Their rendition has springy rice vermicelli noodles, crisp garlic chives, crisp bean sprouts, spongy tofu puffs, and bouncy hard boiled chicken egg, with grainy vegetal herbal eggy sweet savoury flavour.
.
The gravy is thin and mellow, with mild savoury sweet zesty sour tangy spice flavour, with a slight kick from added lime juice.
.
The unique addition is otah, the tender soft spiced fish paste having a smoky savoury salty spice flavour.

Went to Bebek Goreng Pak Ndut for dinner and it did not disappoint! We had the Signature Fried Duck and Signature Chicken—both crispy and juicy, just how I like it. The Oxtail Stew was super flavourful, not too spicy, just right. Also tried the Tahu Goreng, and it was crispy on the outside, soft on the inside—perfect to go with the mains.
Food was hearty and satisfying, and service was spot on. If you're in the area and craving good Indonesian food, this place is definitely worth a visit. I'll be back for sure!
Had a great dinner at Bebek Goreng Pak Ndut! We went for the Signature Fried Duck and Signature Chicken, and both were crispy and juicy—definitely hits. The Oxtail Stew was rich and flavorful, with just the right amount of spice. We also tried the Tahu Goreng, which was crispy on the outside and soft inside, a perfect side dish.
The food was comforting and satisfying, and the service was great. If you're in the mood for some really good Indonesian food, this place is definitely worth a visit. I’ll be back for sure!
Had a great meal at Bebek Goreng Pak Ndut. Ordered the original crispy fried duck and crispy chicken skin for sides. Highly recommended!
[CHINESE GARDEN, SINGAPORE] Westies, this one is for you 😍 I know saying that this may be the best prata in SG is such a bold statement, but come on, with 6/6 people in my group saying the same thing, this is definitely worth a HUGE mention.
Their prata base itself was so darn crispy and satisfying. Just think about biting into a crunchy savoury crust, with a fluffy buttery center... You will be addicted! I ordered Cheese ($3) and Egg ($2.40) and I was surprised to know that the egg version was still relatively crispy on the edges 😍
They serve their prata with curry and sambal, and though their curry is aromatic and flavourful without being too salty, their sambal was the bomb. With heavy anchovy flavour, this was so flavourful and changed the whole flavour dimension of the prata!
However, do note that the prata is really huge and extremely rich, so maybe 1 or 2 is enough 🤣 I was so stuffed after eating 2! I don't see any halal logo anywhere as well, so do take note!
Enjoyed the 1-for-1 on 3 slices deals using the Burpple Beyond app (i.e. buy 3 slices get 3 slices free)!
These are the flavours we got:
-Apple Crumble Cheesecake
-Blissful Blueberry Cheesecake
-Classic New York Cheesecake

-Oreo Cookies & Cream Cheesecake
-Sweet Strawberries Cheesecake
-Devil's Chocolate Cheesecake
These cheesecakes are great for house parties!
Tips:
Always add egg if you are going to add a lot of ingredients, to make sure the ratio is right
Avoid capsicum, batons are the wrong shape for fried rice
Avoid broccoli, it's soggy
Complaint:
Why is it that their spoons are so small? Ingredients are always dropping out when I try to scoop
Honestly this kind of dishes really depend on the cook and today's dude was not it man. No wok hey, things felt soggy overall and his eggs keep sticking to the wok, I was watching throughout
Seems abit less soggy than egg prata, and thus better. Not sure if it's one of or it's to do with the addition of onions
Their kopi is damn diluted it sucks
Crisp still disappears after awhile, the onion was quite fragrant
The flavour is really v good, maybe it's not obvious from the colour but there's good body. There's crunchy from veggies, the fried egg, and ikan bilis(less than before). The crunchiness of the ikan bilis deproving meant it wasnt the world beater it once was but it's still a very good version
an all-time favourite since young! i don’t crave for malay cuisine very often but if i do, red ginger is always the first place i think about. their food options are always tasty and well-flavoured!
