We visited Song Garden at Middle Road, where we celebrated Mother’s Day a week earlier.
Unfortunately, we were quite disappointed with the food. It was served cold and presented poorly. It was evident that the food had been pre-cooked. The shark fin, which supposed to be a specialty, was bland and lacked flavor. The live prawn served with the fish was disappointingly small and only a single piece. The abalone snd scallop doesn’t seem to blend in with the noodle too .
The dessert tasted like canned corn with a scope of meshed sweet potato! . Given that we paid $160 net per person, we felt that the overall experience did not justify the cost, and we left feeling very dissatisfied. I will not recommend the restaurant.
If you're a hotpot enthusiast, Chaoniu Hot Pot at West Coast Plaza is a must-visit, especially with their current buffet promotion at just $22.90. Specializing in premium beef cuts, Chaoniu takes the hotpot experience to the next level with a rich selection of meats, fresh vegetables, and indulgent soup bases.
One of the highlights of Chaoniu is their freshly sliced beef, prepared on-site to ensure every piece is tender, flavorful, and perfect for hotpot. Complementing the beef selection are fresh vegetables like Chinese cabbage and enoki mushrooms, as well as classic hotpot items such as tendon meatballs, fish paste, and quail eggs.
To further enhance the experience, diners can choose two soup bases from options like the rich ChaoShan Beef Broth or the nourishing Beauty Collagen Broth. For those looking to add variety, skewers are available for just $8, making the meal even more satisfying.
