This was the highlight of our 7-course (that totalled up to countless items) dinner at @cornerhousesg that wow-ed us item after item.
The complete 4-part to “The Onion Revealed” comprised the baked onion cup, onion tart, onion chip and an onion tea.
This onion cup in its most natural form, was baked and filled with onion purée and confit, with a sous-vide egg and shaved black truffles. The result was a comforting taste of satisfaction to the senses.
The tart and chips topped up the experience with different tastes and textures; before a cup of onion tea. Simple as it looked, but the small tea-cup held an emulsion of onion and cream, made from 3kg of onions and 2days’ work to produce a mere 200ml.
We felt delighted and proud as we savoured this exquisite creation and many of Chef Jason’s other amazing dishes during our memorable dinner in the most beautiful restaurant with the best services.

Though I’m not a big fan of foie gras, I must say the standout at this two Michelin starred restaurant is the Foie Gras Chawanmushi with Crab Roe Soup, a sublime combination of Japanese and Chinese influences. Imagine decadent goose liver covered with soft and luscious chawanmushi, topped with a thick crab roe soup, served in a beautiful bespoke bowl with a candle below to ensure the soup is maintain at the right temperature while being consumed.

rosemary-smoked egg, cracked into smoked potato espuma amidst wisps of cloud. Another classic at one of Singapore's best restaurants, Odette.

Double Boiled Ginseng Soup with Fish Maw, Conpoy and Bamboo Piths.
Still like the Chinese food here - it’s always been good.

The Chen’s Original Spicy Dry Noodles ($14) are handmade in-house and tossed in a minced meat peanut sauce that’s so good that one portion is never enough.

A must-order whenever you are there, the stir fried tofu that’s cooked in a hot Szechwan pepper meat sauce is presented in a claypot and goes hand-in-hand with a bowl of white Hokkaido steamed rice. With the right balance of spiciness and numbness, this is an amazing dish that you’ve got to try to understand the hype.

Ended off the meal with these 3 beautifully crafted bite sized creations. From right to left,
1. Lemon tart with mint jelly
2. Fig vincotto in almond chocolate shell
3. Shot of yolk + amaro

The presentation was not only excellent, but these bites were well thought of and executed 😍

I love this dish! The asparagus was grilled really well, and the whole combination made me wipe out all the components on this plate. The combination of yolk, mascarpone, sage, fried kale just was soo good, I had to dip with their bread to finish off and made sure I didn’t waste any of these goodness

Under the four course menu, we had this dish which was pretty alright to me as I’m not a big fan of goat cheese. The flavour combinations was pretty good, nothing to rave for me as it’s not my kind of food.
