Back at La Levain where I was first introduced to pain au suisse chocolate! The ones you find here are the finest as with most of their bakes.
We also had an American cinnamon roll which was a refreshing rendition of the good ol classic for me. Topped with icing sugar a danish pastry swirl was smattered with cinnamon - this was another real treat!
The noodles is hard and the small portion is too little
Too blend not to my liking

Why isnโt black sesame hummus a thing??!? This is a sharing plate but trust me you wouldnโt want to share this๐ฃ๏ธ
can always count on lilโs taproom to add innovative twists to cheese toasts. previously loved their spinach grilled cheese, so i was very excited for this. it encompassed black ssm century egg cream, blue cheese and mozzarella. now BEFORE you completely reject this combi, itโs actually not that pungent!! in fact, itโs one of my fav cheese toasts to date๐ง๐ฅช
Iโve always been a fan of their thick cut fries๐ so this impressed me too! You can taste the sweetness of red wine๐ท in the truffle gravy. Loved that the usual parmesan is replaced with childhood fav Laughing Cowโบ๏ธ๐ง๐ป
Back at my favourite Thai food restaurant and the food is still as good as I remembered!
The Claypot Mama with Prawns and Meatball ($13.80) came generous with loads of fresh prawns and meatballs. The soup itself was not too spicy and sweet and savoury. Mixing the egg yolk in makes the soup even richer! The noodles were al dente as well! This is one hearty dish and perhaps the only problem is that the prawns were slightly undercooked.
The Olive Fried Rice ($6.80) had always been consistently good, with the strong umami of the fermented olives coming through and that the rice was fluffy. Drizzle that lime juice all over for a refreshing citrus kick!
The Fried Chicken with Honey Sauce ($8.80) stole the show for us. The chicken pieces were fried to perfection, with the exterior being very crispy and the chicken meat not dry. The honey sauce was splendid, due to its sweet and savoury nature that got us putting it on our rice as well!
This has been our go-to Thai food restaurant for some time and will continue to be ๐
Weโre back at Lilโs Taproom again to try out their newest menu: their ๐๐ฎ๐บ๐๐๐ฝ ๐๐๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ฒ ๐๐ฎ, ๐ข๐ฟ๐ต ๐๐๐น๐! ๐ค With funky and interesting combinations of local flavours on western foods - and being impressed by their creations last time, we were so eager to dig in! ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ
This was already a solid American cheeseburger made from ๐ฌ๐๐๐ฎ๐ช ๐๐๐๐, the crispiest bacon and delicious cheese. The beef patty was so incredibly juicy! ๐ค๐ป They combined ๐จ๐ฌ๐๐๐ฉ ๐๐ค๐ก๐ ๐ฌ๐๐ฉ๐ ๐๐ช๐๐ ๐ ๐๐ก๐ช๐๐ , a spice used in Peranakan cuisine, to confer a slightly bitter and earthy taste which we liked ๐ซถ๐ป
Not to be mistaken for a sardine-filled puff, their rendition consists of sardine chunks added to a ๐จ๐ฆ๐ช๐๐ ๐๐ฃ๐ -๐๐ฃ๐๐ช๐จ๐๐ ๐จ๐๐ช๐๐ coated over hand cut fries. The sauce here packed a ๐จ๐ฌ๐๐๐ฉ ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐จ๐ฅ๐๐๐ฎ ๐ฅ๐ช๐ฃ๐๐ ๐ฅต that brought the crispy and fluffy fries to the next level!
